Traditionally, every week we bring you a list of the top performances of Central Africans who are currently playing abroad.
#1. This week's number one is an experienced international small forward
Max Kouguere (198-87, currently plays in France). He contributed to an easy victory against the league outsider Poitiers (2-17)
78-63 in the French ProB (second division) in Tuesday night's game.
Kouguere scored 8 points in only 13 minutes on the court.
Saint Chamond Basket Valle du Gier (11-8) is placed sixth in the ProB.
It's Kouguere's first season with the team.
This year he averages: 4.0ppg, 2.8rpg, 2FGP: 55.6%, 3FGP: 24.0% and FT: 57.1% in eight games he played so far.
Kouguere has a dual citizenship: Congolese and Central African.
He is currently a member of the Central African senior national team.
#2. Second place goes to an international power forward
Jimmy Djimrabaye (202-92, currently plays in France). Djimrabaye could not help
Quimper UJAP (14-5) to beat Olympique Antibes (11-7). He did not impress in that game on Friday.
Djimrabaye recorded only 3 points and grabbed 6 rebounds.
Quimper UJAP was defeated
77-71 on the road by the lower-ranked Olympique Antibes (#4).
They ended the series of nine consecutive victories.
Djimrabaye's overall stats this season are: 5.6ppg, 3.9rpg, 1.1apg, 2FGP: 48.1%, 3FGP: 26.3%.
He is in the roster of the Central African senior national team.
#3. The Central African player who performed third best last week abroad was an international power forward
Johan Grebongo (204-94, currently plays in France). Grebongo contributed to
Mulhouse's victory against the 12th-ranked Feurs EF (5-19)
81-71 in the French NM1 (third division) on Tuesday night.
He scored 10 points, grabbed 6 rebounds and dished 3 assists in 22 minutes.
Mulhouse Pfastatt (11-13) is placed ninth in Group B.
It was his team's third consecutive victory in a row.
There are only two games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game will be critical.
Grebongo is one of the most experienced players in a team as it's his fourth year in Mulhouse's roster.
Grebongo has relatively good stats this season: 12.8ppg, 6.9rpg, 1.4apg, 2FGP: 59.6%(102-171), 3FGP: 30.8% and FT: 62.8% in 24 games.
He is also a member of the Central African senior national team.
#4. Forward
Saladine Ganda (203, currently plays in NAIA) was not able to help the
La Sierra University (0-0) in their game against the Pacific Union College (0-3) in the CalPac.
Ganda scored only 4 points.
His team was defeated
87-77 in Angwin by the Pacific Union College.
This season Ganda has relatively solid stats: 12.8ppg, 6.9rpg and 1.4apg.
He used to play for the Central African national team
back in 2017.
