Here is the weekly review of the top performing Central African players, who play currently abroad.
#1. This week's number one is an experienced former international power forward
James Mays (205-86, college:
Clemson, currently plays in China). He could not help
Golden Stars (19-11) in their last game. Despite Mays' very good performance Golden Stars lost
109-122 on the road to the lower-ranked (#9) Eagles.
He had a double-double by scoring 26 points and getting 14 rebounds. Mays also added 2 blocks in 31 minutes on the court.
Mays has individually a very good year with high stats. He averages: 15.8ppg, 9.9rpg, 1.6apg, 1.2bpg, 1.7spg, 2FGP: 59.2%(161-272), 3FGP: 18.8% and FT: 70.1% in 28 games he played so far.
Mays is a naturalized American.
He played for the Central African senior national team seven years ago.
Strangely Mays has never played in Central Africa.
#2. Second place goes to an international power forward
Jimmy Djimrabaye (202-92, currently plays in France). He contributed to a
Quimper UJAP's victory against the seventh-ranked Souffelweyersheim (9-7)
71-63 in the French ProB (second division) last Saturday.
Djimrabaye recorded 6 points, 4 rebounds and 3 assists.
Quimper UJAP (12-4) is placed second in the ProB.
It was his team's seventh consecutive victory in a row.
Djimrabaye's overall stats this season are: 5.9ppg, 3.8rpg, 3FGP: 31.3% and FT: 82.4%.
He is in the roster of the Central African senior national team.
#3. The Central African player who performed third best last week abroad was an international power forward
Johan Grebongo (204-94, currently plays in France). Grebongo led
Mulhouse to a victory against the leader C'Chartres (18-3)
86-85 in the French NM1 (third division) on Friday night.
He had a double-double by scoring 11 points and getting 10 rebounds. Grebongo also added 5 assists in 28 minutes.
Mulhouse Pfastatt (9-12) is placed tenth in Group B.
They ended the series of three consecutive loses.
It's Grebongo's fourth season with the team.
He has relatively good stats this year: 12.9ppg, 7.0rpg, 1.3apg, 2FGP: 60.8%(90-148), 3FGP: 31.9% and FT: 59.2% in 21 games.
Grebongo is also a member of the Central African senior national team.
#4. Forward
Saladine Ganda (203, currently plays in NAIA) was not able to help the
La Sierra University (0-0) in their game against the University of California Merced (1-2) in the CalPac. His contribution was not very remarkable in Thursday's game.
Ganda scored only 2 points.

79-51 in Merced by the University of California.
This season Ganda has relatively solid stats: 12.9ppg, 7.0rpg and 1.3apg.
He used to play for the Central African national team
back in 2017.
