Here is the weekly review of the top performing Central African players, who play currently abroad.
#1. This week's number one is former international power forward
James Mays (206-86, college:
Clemson, currently plays in China). He led
Eagles to a victory over the league outsider Bayi Rockets (3-32)
117-107 in the Chinese CBA in Wednesday night's game.
Mays was MVP of the game. He had a double-double by scoring 31 points and getting 14 rebounds in 20 minutes on the court.
Qingdao Eagles (10-25) are placed 16th in the CBA.
There are only three games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game will be critical.
Mays has individually a very good year with high stats. He averages: 25.4ppg, 11.3rpg, 2.7apg, 1.8spg, 2FGP: 52.8%, 3FGP: 51.2%(21-41) and FT: 58.6% in nine games he played so far.
Mays is a naturalized American.
He played for the Central African senior national team five years ago.
Strangely Mays has never played in Central Africa.
#2. Second place goes to an international small forward
Max Kouguere (198-87, currently plays in France). He could not help
Olympique Antibes (8-11) to beat Chalons-Reims (8-11).
Kouguere recorded 9 points and grabbed 4 rebounds.
But Olympique Antibes was defeated
92-82 on the road by the higher-ranked Chalons-Reims (#12).
Kouguere's overall stats this season are: 9.3ppg, 4.2rpg, 1.7apg, 2FGP: 48.1%, 3FGP: 45.3%(34-75) and FT: 75.9%.
He has a dual citizenship: Congolese and Central African.
Kouguere is in the roster of the Central African senior national team.

Jimmy Djimrabaye (202-92, currently plays in France). He managed to help Entente Orleans 45 in a victory against the 16th-ranked STB Le Havre (4-12) crushing them
101-65 in the French ProB (second division) on Friday night.
Djimrabaye scored only 3 points in 12 minutes.

La Sierra University's victory against the Pacific Union College (6-5)
80-69 in the CalPac in Thursday night's game.
Ganda scored only 2 points, grabbed 6 rebounds and made 2 blocks.
It was the game of the round between two top 4 ranked teams. The La Sierra University has not so impressive 3-6 record this season.
