Final Cup U14 Female Heffingen - by coach Alexandre Pires

The Portuguese coach Alexandre Pires, general coordinator of youth in Heffingen (Luxembourg) lost the Luxembourg Cup in U14/U13 female with Sparta by 2 points.

Despite the defeat, coach made some published words that reveal his character and huge example for younger:

'Not even enjoying writing and enjoying even less facebook, could not fail to share the great pride I felt yesterday by this group of young athletes. yes it's true, we could not win but how we dedicated from the first to the last minute must earn the respect and admiration of all. I know that one of the main reasons of the competition is to win and I take the opportunity to congratulate those who won, but not always we can win and although sad we respect our principles. The result of yesterday does not erase all the work, dedication and commitment of all from the first day of training. We fight and compete but not always the result is what we want. We can say that we deserve or we should have won but in sport in general there is only one winner more challenges will be waiting for us in life and in sport. Winning is not everything but have the ability to always try is almost everything and this ability we must not lose. We commit some mistakes, yes, but mistakes are part of the game and life, respond to them is a sign of intelligence and courage. Congratulations on all the good work done and developed so far. But more work and sacrifice's are waiting, more wins and more losses more joys and sorrows but that's life and sport's'.

Coach Alex it is a great example of professionalism and ethics to promote basketball.
