Cameroon registered the third consecutive victory at the 2013 EuroBasket. They overcame Cape Verde to share the top spot with Angola in Group B. Marie Tsoungui (94) came up with 13 points to lead the winners. Cape Verde slipped at 0-3 record after the loss.
Cameroon quickly cleared off in this one. They posted a 21:10 advantage after ten minutes of action. The margin grew deeper in the second frame. Cameroon accumulated a 38:15 halftime advantage. Cape Verde slowed their opponents down in the third term. Cameroon scored just 10 points as Cape Verde got within 22 points. But it was too little to threaten Cameroon. They dropped 14 points in the final stanza and celebrated yet another win at the competition. Amina Njonkou (185-PF-88, college: Arizona) finished with 10 points, while Nicole Senkeu Jamen (180-F/C-88, college: Austin Peay St.) and Hermine Ngueko (F/C-92) had 8 points each for the winners. Vandell Andrade (181-F-93) replied with 12 points and 10 rebounds for Cape Verde. Ornela Livramento (178-G-90) had 8 points in the defeat.
