Cape Verdean Carla Aires (182-F-82) and her Quinta dos Lombos earned the first ever Liga Feminina title. They overcame CAB Madeira in the fourth game of the series to clinch 3-1 victory. Quinta dos Lombos thus completed the triple this season as they have won Portuguese Cup, Federation Cup and Liga Feminina.
Quinta stormed into the game. They went on a 12:0 run early in the game to grab control. Quinta recorded a 23:13 lead after ten minutes. The hosts maintained the lead throughout the second quarter. They fired 29 points to build a 52:34 halftime buffer. CAB Madeira managed to revive the intrigue in the third term. They cut the margin by four points to trail by 12 points before the fourth term. But Quinta never allowed the visitors to get too close in the final term. They stayed in charge and rallied to a comfortable win at the end. Larisse Lima stepped up with 16 points for Quinta. Alison Mann added 15 points for the winners. Utahya Drye answered with 26 points for CAB Madeira. Carla Freitas netted 14 points in the loss.
