Francisco Romero returns as Womens head coach

The new coach of the Cape Verde womens national basketball team, Franscisco Romero, is already working with the national team in the city of Praia, preparing for
the Lusophone Games, which will take place July 11-19 in Lisbon, Portugal.

Returning to the team, after being away for 2 years, Romero has a deep knowledge of the Womens national team, having a bulk of the players who he has already coached.

Criticism arises of the womens NT participation in this tournament, due to the fact that there is no womens league in the country. Is this a wise decision from the Federation to insist on bringing the team who are lacking competitive players.

At the moment the teams counts with the following players: Denise; Rosalgela; Tatiana; Lilita, Ornela, Mireille; Anisa; Loreta; Arlia and Deniffer.
