Special Afrobasket (Women): Cape Verde, Madagascar in surprise wins

Madagascar and Cape Verde posted surprised wins Friday in the classification stage of the 20th Africa Nations Chapionship for Women played in Thies, Senegal.

Cape Verde defeated more experienced Tunisian side that missed the quarter-final stage by the whister by 79-72 points while Madagascar handed down a 69-58 points defeat of Kenya.

Madagascar and Cape Verde will meet at placement 9-10 while Kenya and Tunisia fights for 11-12 position today in Thies.
