Afrobasket 2007: Cape Verde Women's NT will not Advance

The women's National team coached by Marcos Moreira will not proceed to the second phase of the final phase of 20ª edition of the African Championship of Nations after collecting three defeats in as many games.
The Cape Verdians lost the opening game Friday (21/09/07) against the RD of Congo, 66 to 41, on Saturday (22/09/07) the Kenyans beat CV 57 to 48 and this Sunday against the Angolans, 41-56.

Inforpress, the Cape Verde news agency, reported that the bad results from the Cape Verdians are due to disorganization of their Federation. According to the agency, Claude Constantino, technical director of the Federation, guarantees that “a lot will change on this team”, while President Kitana Cabral, accuses the coaches of having done “bad management of the players on the bench against the Kenyans”.

Cape Verde will compete again this Tuesday (Monday is a rest day) against Nigeria and on Wednesday it finishes the participation against Cameroon.
