Cape Verde Women begin preparations

The 7th place finishers at the last African championships have begun their preparations for the FIBA Africa Championship later this year with a training camp in Praia.

The training starts half gas, with the absences of players that are in Portugal and the United States. In this phase, the head coach, Marcos Moreira, will count on the players that reside in the Islands.
For this first stage the team will prepare the physical condition of the athletes. Due to the lack of a decent women's league in Cape Verde, the Head coach has to spend time on preparing the athletes physically, first, before moving into the technical aspects.

The Federation hopes to have all the players available by the end of August, to be able to guarantee good preparation in the African championships, to be held in Senegal, Sept 21 -29 of this year.
