Draw of the 20th ANC for Women in Senegal - Cape Verde Group B

FIBA- Africa in cooperation with the Senegalese Basketball Federation hosted on Saturday 9th June 2007, the draw of the 20th Africa Championship for Women in “Meridien” hotel of Dakar (Senegal).

This ceremony took place in the presence of Pr Alain Ekra, the president of FIBA-Africa, Mr Victor Cisse, technical adviser of the Sports Minister (minister's representing) And 300 guests among whom the national federations' representings and the former glories of the Senegalese Basketball.

This ceremony as official reception was broadcasted in live by two Senegalese channels (RTS and 2STV).

The draw led by M.Abderraoul Menjour, President of the FIBA-Africa's Commission of the Competitions was realized by several former glories of the Senegalese Basketball such as M.Carvalho Bonaventure and two members of FIBA-Africa, M.Amara Conde Fode (President of youth and Women Commission) and Mrs. Salamatou Maïga (Member of Central Board).

This draw aimed at regrouping the 12 Female National teams qualified in 2 groups A and B of 6 teams each, which will play respectively in Dakar and Thiès with as head of the group A Senegal and Nigeria for the group B and to be held from 21st to 30th September 2007.
