Uganda U16 - Cameroon U16 50-57

Cameroon U16 opened their AfroBasket 2025 campaign with a hard-fought 57-50 victory over Uganda U16. The Cameroonians took control early, edging the first quarter 18-15 before dominating the second 17-7 to build a commanding 35-22 halftime lead. Uganda responded with resilience after the break, matching Cameroon 16-16 in the third quarter and outscoring them 12-6 in the final period, but the early deficit proved too much to overcome. Despite Uganda’s late push, Cameroon’s strong first-half performance sealed the win in their tournament opener.
Nolan Ngangmeni top-scored for the winners with 13 points and Luther Maboula notched 11. Joshua Bwakanda and Pierre Laurent Rwuhiriro replied with 11 points apiece in a loss.
