UNICS Kazan tabs Paris Lee

UNICS Kazan (VTB United League) signed 30-year-old American (also holds Cameroonian passport) 184cm point guard Paris Lee (college: Illinois State) for the upcoming season. He last played at LDLC ASVEL Lyon-Villeurbanne Basket in French Betclic ELITE ProA, where he averaged 10.9ppg, 1.6rpg, and 3.4apg in 32 games last season. Lee had a good season, helping his team win the regular season and reach the semifinals, earning him the title of League Player of the Week. In Euroleague, he played 26 games and averaged 8.3ppg, 1.5rpg, and 3.1apg.
He represented Cameroon at the FIBA World Cup 2023 African Qualifiers two years ago. During this event, he scored an average of 13 ppg and had 2.7 rpg.
Lee is a very experienced player. He has played professionally in Belgium (Antwerp Giants), France (Monaco and Entente Orleans 45), Germany (Bamberg), Greece (Panathinaikos), The Basketball Tournament (Big X), and NBA Summer League (Memphis Grizzlies).
In addition to winning the Belgian Cup in 2019, Lee was also selected as the Eurobasket.com All-Greek A1 Defensive Player of the Year in 2023.
He graduated from Illinois State in 2017 and it'll be his ninth season in pro basketball.
