Benoit Mbala (ex Roanne) agreed terms with Palencia

Zunder Palencia (Primera FEB) signed 29-year-old Cameroonian 200cm forward Benoit Mbala for the upcoming season. He last played at Chorale Roanne Basket in French ProB, where he averaged 4.8ppg and 3.4rpg in 21 games last season. Mbala also played for Champagne Basket (Betclic ELITE ProA) in the French league.
Mbala represented Cameroon at the FIBA World Cup 2023 African Qualifiers two years ago. During this event, he scored an average of 7.8 ppg and had 4.8 rpg.
He is a very experienced player. Mbala has quite traveled the world as his pro career brought him to six different countries on three different continents (Europe, Asia and Latin America). He has played previously in France (Limoges CSP Elite and Aix Maurienne), Korea (Samsung Thunders), Philippines (Green Arches), Turkey (Ormanspor and Igdir), Spain (Caceres) and Mexico (Fuerza Regia).
Mbala was voted to Eurobasket.com All-Spanish LEB Gold Honorable Mention in 2022. He played in the final of French ProB Play-Offs in 2018.
