Japhet Kadji (ex Espanyol) is a newcomer at Ecole

Japhet Kadji

Ecole de Basket de Douala (D1) added to their roster 29-year old Cameroonian ex-international forward Japhet Kadji (201cm-93kg-1995, college: NC A&T). He supposed to play at Espanyol in Spanish Tercera FEB. The last season season he played at another Spanish team Azulejos Moncayo CB Zaragoza (also in Tercera FEB) where in four games he recorded very impressive stats: 19.3ppg, 5.3rpg, 1.3spg and 1.0bpg.
He also represented Cameroon at the National Prep Championship Semifinals eleven years ago.
Kadji has played previously professionally also in France (Castelnau Bsk and Gravelines Grand Fort BCM 2nd team) and Spain (A.D. Torreforta Tarragona and Mataro Parc).
His team won NEC Regular Season in 2016.
He graduated from North Carolina A&T State University in 2019 and it is his sixth season as a professional player. Kadji played also for Wagner College for 2 years.
The scouts decsribe him following way: Athletic forward that can finish at the rim and also can shoot the ball from midrange and three. Solid multiposition defender. Very good handle and passing skills. Could improve with more consistency with shooting. More time in the gym and pro setting should help.
