Mbala is back at Roanne

Benoit Mbala

Chorale de Roanne Basket (ProB) agreed terms with 29-year old Cameroonian international forward Benoit Mbala (200cm-104kg-1995). It is actually his comeback to Chorale de Roanne as he has played here before. He already started the season at Chalons-Reims in the ProB. In 12 games he had 12.2ppg, 4.5rpg, 1.0apg and 1.1spg. The last season season he played at Alagoz Holding Igdir Basketbol (TBL) in Turkish league.
He also represented Cameroon at the FIBA World Cup 2023 African Qualifiers last year. During this event he scored an average of 7.8 points per game and had 4.8 rebounds per game.
Mbala is quite experienced player. His career allowed him to visit three different continents, while he played in six different countries. He tasted the life as a pro basketball player in Europe, Asia and Latin America. Mbala has played previously in Korea (Samsung Thunders), Philippines (Green Arches), Spain (Caceres), Turkey (Ormanspor), France (Limoges CSP Elite and Aix Maurienne) and Mexico (Fuerza Regia).
Among many awards he played in the final of French ProB Play-Offs in 2018. He was voted to Eurobasket.com French ProB All-Imports Team back in 2019.
