Fyllingen adds Fongue to their roster, ex Nyon

Fyllingen BBK (BLNO) has added 32-year-old Swiss-Cameroonian ex-international small forward Eric Fongue (200cm-94kg-1991, college: Alaska) to their roster for the new 2023-24 season. Fongue played last season at BBC Nyon in the Swiss SBL league, averaging 5.4ppg and 1.9rpg in 28 games. In the previous season (2021-22), he played for Basket SKT Ieper in the Belgian league and also had a stint with Thor in the Icelandic league.
He was also a member of the Swiss international program for several years. He played for the Swiss Senior National Team in 2016 and had previously played for the U20 National Team in 2011.
Seven years ago, he represented Switzerland at the Qualifications to European Championships (FIBA EuroBasket) 2017. During that event, he played 6 games and had an average of 2.5 points per game.
He's a highly experienced player, having played professionally in Belgium, Germany, and Iceland.
Fongue's team made it to the Swiss SBL Semifinals in 2019. He also played for Whatcom Community College for 2 years.
