Cameroon successfully opened Group B campaign of the Olympic Pre-Qualifiers. They overcame Guinea 104:74 in Lagos. Trailing 19-20 at the end of the first period, Cameroon bounced back with a 26-20 run in the second quarter. Moreover, they nailed 33 points in the third period and closed the game with a 26-15 run.
Fabien Ateba (192-G-1991) was unstoppable with 27 points for the winners and Jeremiah Hill (188-PG-1995, college: Valdosta St.) collected 22 points and 11 assists. Alpha Diallo (201-F-1997, college: Providence) replied with 25 points in a loss and Cheick Conde produced 15.
