M.Ramat Gan signs JP Tokoto

JP Tokoto

Maccabi Ramat Gan (Winner League) signed 29-year old American (has also Cameroonian passport) forward JP Tokoto (200cm-91kg-1993, college: UNC) for upcoming 2023-24 season. Tokoto is the second import player in the roster as USA Phil Greene IV signed here earlier.
He played this summer at Herd That (The Basketball Tournament) in the U.S. He managed to play in three leagues in two countries last year. In 5 TBT games just recently he had 13.0ppg, 5.4rpg, 1.8apg and 1.8spg. The last season he played at Hapoel Tel Aviv in Israeli Winner League where in 21 games he recorded 7.4ppg, 5.6rpg, 2.4apg and 1.5spg. He helped them to make it to both league and Cup finals. Tokoto also played 18 games in Eurocup where he averaged 7.5ppg, 4.1rpg, 1.7apg and 1.1spg. He contributed to his team making it to the quarterfinals.
In 2015 he was drafted by Philadelphia 76ers (NBA) in second round (58th overall). Tokoto graduated from University of North Carolina and it will be his ninth season in pro basketball.
He is quite experienced player. Tokoto has played in six different countries on three different continents (Europe, Australia and of course North America). He has played previously professionally in Australia (Perth Wildcats), Spain (Tokotoreda San Pablo Burgos), NBA (GS Warriors and NY Knicks), NBA G League (OKC Blue and RGV Vipers), Israel (Hapoel Eilat and Ironi Nes Ziona) and The Basketball Tournament (Armored Athlete).
He was voted to Israeli League All-Star Game in 2022.
