AfroBasket 2023: Mozambique defeat Cameroon to finish 5th in Kigali

Mozambique captured the victory in their final game at the 2023 AfroBasket. They beat Cameroon to earn the fifth position at the championship. Tamara Seda (193-F-1994, college: UTEP) came up with 16 points and 11 rebounds in the win.
Mozambique eked out a 14-12 lead after ten minutes. They extended the advantage at 3-point mark at the big break 34-31. Mozambique limited their opponents to just 14 points in the third period to open an 8-point advantage. They sank 21 points in the fourth stanza and rallied to the victory. Leia Dongue (185-F/C-1991) tossed in 14 points for the winning side. Jessica Thomas (168-G-1994, college: Miami, FL) replied with 20 points for Cameroon.
