Paris Lee (ex Panathinaikos) to sign at ASVEL Lyon Villeurbanne Basket

ASVEL Lyon-Villeurbanne Basket (Betclic ELITE ProA) reportedly agreed terms with 28-year old American (has also Cameroonian passport) 183cm guard Paris Lee (college: Illinois State) for new season. Lee played most recently at Panathinaikos in Greek GBL league. In 30 games he averaged 11.1ppg, 1.9rpg, 4.3apg and 2.0spg last season. He helped them to make it to both league and Supercup final after they ended regular season as second best team. It was a very successful season in his career as he was awarded Eurobasket.com All-Greek A1 Defensive Player of the Year and voted to All-Defensive Team. Lee also played 33 games in Euroleague where he had 11.2ppg, 1.8rpg, 3.9apg and 1.3spg.
The previous (2021-22) season he played at Monaco in French Betclic ELITE ProA. In 33 games he recorded 10.5ppg, 1.7rpg, 4.1apg and 1.3spg in that year. Good season as he was selected League Player of the Week (2 times). He also played 36 games in Euroleague where he got 7.2ppg, 1.4rpg, 2.4apg and 1.2spg in that year. Lee contributed to his team making it to the quarterfinals.
He represented Cameroon at the CBI Championship Semifinals nine years ago.
Lee is a very experienced player. He has played also professionally in Belgium (Antwerp Giants), Germany (Brose Bamberg), France (Entente Orleans 45), The Basketball Tournament (Big X) and NBA Summer League (Memphis Grizzlies).
Among many awards Lee's team won Belgian Cup in 2019. Lee received Eurobasket.com All-Belgian League Player of the Year award back in 2019.
He graduated from Illinois State in 2017 and it will be his seventh season in pro basketball.
