Russell Tchewa commits to Georgia

Russell Tchewa

University of Georgia agreed terms with 23-year old Cameroonian international center Russell Tchewa (7'0''-260lbs) for upcoming 2023-24 season. Douala native played for the last three years at University of South Florida. In 30 games he had 11.1ppg and 8.6rpg last season.
Tchewa played also at Texas Tech University in 2019-2020 and then at University of San Francisco in 2020.
Tchewa's high school career he had spent at Putnam Science Prep Academy in Putnam, CT, which he graduated in 2019. He helped his team make it to the National Prep Championship Semifinals that year.
Tchewa also represented Cameroon at the National Prep Championship Semifinals four years ago.
The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others his team won Italian U18 First Team and Italian U18 and he helped S.Florida team make it to the Adidas Next Generation Tournament in Kaunas Finals and Adidas Next Generation Tournament Finals in Beograd Finals in 2018.
