Defending champion Forces Armees et Police Basketball de Yaounde (D1) landed 25-year old American 191cm point guard Marcus Thomas, college: Rosemont for the new BAL season. He moved there from Philadelphia Cannons (ECBL) in the U.S. where he played this season. Thanks to pro basketball Marcus experienced life on four different continents. He is familiar with European, Latin American, African, and of course North American leagues. Thomas has played previously professionally in Ireland (Fr. Mathews Cork), Morocco (KACM Kawkab de Marrakech), and El Salvador (Halcones and Izalco). Among many awards Thomas' team won El Salvador Liga Superior Apertura Regular Season in 2017. He was also selected to Latinbasket.com All-El Salvador Liga Mayor Torneo Clausura 2nd Team in 2019. He attended Rosemont College until 2016 and it will be his sixth season in pro basketball. |
