We bring you last week's top performances from Cameroonians who are playing abroad and who all have had prior experience of national team duties at youth or senior level.
#1. This week's number one is an international forward
Kenny Kadji (211-88, agency:
Octagon Europe, college:
Miami, FL, currently plays in EuroCup). He could not help
Bursaspor (0-1) in their last game. Despite Kadji's very good performance the fourth-placed Bursaspor (0-1) lost
86-93 at home to the higher-ranked (#3) Trento in the group D of Eurocup.
He recorded 15 points, 6 rebounds and 3 assists in 26 minutes on the court. It was his first game for Bursaspor this season.
But this is still an early stage of the season and everything may happen.
Kadji is currently a member of the Cameroonian senior national team.
#2. Second place goes to an international forward
Williams Narace (201-97, currently plays in France). Narace contributed to a
Le Mans' victory against the league outsider Gravelines-Dunkerque (0-3)
69-64 in the French Jeep ELITE ProA on Saturday night.
He scored 7 points and grabbed 4 rebounds in 21 minutes.
Le Mans Sarthe Basket (2-0) is placed third in the Jeep ELITE ProA.
But the season just started, so everything may happen.
This year Narace averages: 10.0ppg, 3.5rpg, 2.0apg, 2FGP: 64.3% and FT: 66.7% in two games he played so far.
He is in the roster of the Cameroonian senior national team.
#3. The Cameroonian player who performed third best last week abroad was an experienced former international shooting guard
D.J. Strawberry (196-85, college:
Maryland, currently plays in Spain). Strawberry helped
UCAM Murcia win their game against the fourth-ranked Baskonia (3-1)
83-75 in the Spanish Liga Endesa in Sunday night's game.
He recorded 9 points.
Universidad Catolica de Murcia CB (2-2) is placed ninth in the Liga Endesa.
There are only three games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game will be critical.
It's Strawberry's first season with the team.
Strawberry's overall stats this year are: 6.3ppg, 2.5rpg, 1.8apg, 2FGP: 38.5%, 3FGP: 25.0%.
He has a dual citizenship: Cameroonian and American.
Strawberry played for the Cameroonian national team two years ago.
#4. Forward
Benoit Mbala (200-95, currently plays in France) managed to help Limoges CSP Elite in a victory against the 15th-ranked Le Portel (0-1) crushing them
91-68 in the French Jeep ELITE ProA last Saturday.
He scored only 4 points and had 3 steals in 11 minutes.
Limoges CSP Elite (2-1) is placed fourth in the Jeep ELITE ProA.
But the season is still in its first stage and everything can happen.
This year Mbala's overall stats are: 3.3ppg and 1.3spg in three games.
He is also Cameroonian national team player.
#5. Former international center
Junior MBida (206-90, currently plays in France) was not able to help
Chalons-Reims (0-1) in their last game on Tuesday. Despite MBida's good performance Chalons-Reims was defeated
85-73 on their home court in Reims by the higher-ranked ASVEL Lyon-Villeurbanne Basket (#11).
He scored 12 points, grabbed 4 rebounds and made 2 blocks. It was his first game for Chalons-Reims this season.
But the season is still in its first stage and everything can happen.
MBida used to play for the Cameroonian national team
five years ago.
#6. Guard
Frank Tchoubaye (198-92, currently plays in France) was not able to secure a victory for
SOPCC (0-1) in their game against Saint Vallier (1-0) in the French NM1 (third division).
He recorded 5 points, 4 rebounds, 4 assists and 3 steals in 22 minutes. It was his first game for SOPCC this season.
SOPCC (#14) lost
72-77 on the road to the much higher-ranked (#3) Saint Vallier in the Group B.
But the season is still in its first stage and everything can happen.
Tchoubaye is a former international player as he played for the Cameroonian senior team two years ago.
#7. International power forward
Franck Yangue (205-90, agency:
Inception Sports, currently plays in France) couldn't help
Andrezieux (0-1) in their game against C'Chartres (1-0) in the French NM1 (third division).
He recorded 6 points and grabbed 7 rebounds. It was his first game for Andrezieux this season.
Andrezieux (#12) was defeated
96-86 on their home court in Andrezieux by the leading C'Chartres in the Group B.
But the season is still in its first stage and everything can happen.
Yangue is also Cameroonian national team player.

Players Group, currently plays in Italy) managed to help AX Armani Exchange Milano to win against the tenth-ranked Treviso (1-1) crushing them
104-64 in the Italian Serie A last Sunday.
He scored only 4 points and grabbed 4 rebounds.
AX Armani Exchange Milanois placed in Group A.
This season Biligha averages: 3.0ppg and 2.0rpg.
He has a dual citizenship: Cameroonian and Italian.
