Former international center Gaston Essengue (203-83, college: UNLV, currently plays in Argentina) couldn't help Obera TC in their game against Dep Norte in the Argentinian La Liga Argentina (second division), despite his good performance on Friday night. He scored 10 points and grabbed 5 rebounds in 30 minutes. But his team lost 101-108. Essengue's stats this year are: 13.6ppg, 6.3rpg and 1.6apg in 20 games. He used to play for the Cameroonian national team five years ago. #12. Former international point guard Aldo Curti (180-87, currently plays in France) helped Tours win their game against the 14th-ranked Vanves 81-77 in the French NM1 (third division) on Saturday night. Curti scored 13 points and added 4 passes. Curti's total stats this season are: 6.7ppg, 1.9rpg and 3.3apg. He used to play for the Cameroonian national team back in 2015. #13. Former international forward Michel Ipouck (200-86, currently plays in France) helped SOPCC win their game against the second-ranked Saint Vallier 82-78 in the French NM1 (third division) on Tuesday night. Ipouck scored 7 points and added 3 assists in 21 minutes. This year Ipouck's total stats are: 4.9ppg, 4.4rpg, 1.8apg and 1.2spg in 17 games. Despite he played previously for the French U20 national team, Ipouck is currently in the Cameroonian national team roster. #14. Former international power forward Franck Yangue (205-90, agency: Inception Sports, currently plays in France) helped Caen edge the fourth-ranked STB Le Havre 72-70 in the French NM1 (third division) last Friday. He scored only 4 points and grabbed 4 rebounds in 16 minutes. Yangue has averaged so far 2.7ppg and 3.5rpg in six games. He used to play for the Cameroonian national team back in 2018. #15. Former international forward Arsene Towa (191-81, currently plays in Finland) couldn't help HNMKY in their game against Kristika Turku in the Finnish 1st Division (second division), despite his very good performance on Sunday night. Towa was the top scorer with 14 points. He also added 4 rebounds in 24 minutes. But his team lost 75-80. Towa averaged so far 14.5ppg, 8.8rpg, 1.8apg and 2.2spg in 17 games. He used to play for the Cameroonian national team nine years ago. The list of other players, who all have Cameroonian passport but never been selected to any of Cameroonian national teams: #1. Pascal Siakam (206-F-94, college: N.Mexico St., currently plays in NBA) led Toronto Raptors to a victory over the Minnesota Timberwolves (16-36) 137-126 in the NBA in Monday night's game. He was MVP of the game. Siakam scored 34 points (!!!), grabbed 6 rebounds and dished 5 assists in 37 minutes. The Toronto Raptors have a solid 40-14 record this season. It was his team's 15th consecutive victory in a row. It's Siakam's fourth year with the team. He has individually a very good season with high stats. Siakam averages: 23.7ppg, 7.5rpg and 3.4apg in 43 games he played so far. #2. Joel Embiid (213-C-94, college: Kansas, currently plays in NBA) was the major contributor in a Philadelphia 76ers' victory against the Chicago Bulls (19-35) 118-111 in the NBA last Sunday. He recorded a double-double by scoring 28 points and getting 12 rebounds. Embiid also added 5 assists, 4 blocks and 3 steals. The Philadelphia 76ers have a solid 33-21 record this season. It's Embiid's sixth year with the team. This year he has very high stats. Embiid averages: 22.8ppg, 12.0rpg, 3.2apg and 1.4bpg. #3. JP Tokoto (198-F-93, college: UNC, currently plays in FIBA Europe Cup) could not help Ironi Nes-Ziona (2-4) in their last game on Wednesday. Despite Tokoto's very good performance the third-placed Ironi Nes-Ziona (2-4) was defeated 82-71 on the road by the second-ranked Cluj Napoca in the group J of FIBA Europe Cup. He was the second best scorer with 17 points. Tokoto also added 6 rebounds and dished 5 assists. It was his first game for Ironi Nes-Ziona this season. The Second Stage already ended in the FIBA Europe Cup. Tokoto has a dual citizenship: Cameroonian and American. #4. Maxime Djo Ebala (208-C-94, currently plays in United Kingdom) contributed to an easy victory against the eighth-ranked Bristol Acadamy Flyers (4-4) crushing them 94-55 in the British BBL in Friday night's game. Djo Ebala scored 7 points and grabbed 8 rebounds. Radisson Red Glasgow Rocks (7-3) is placed second in the BBL. Djo Ebala's total stats this season are: 6.7ppg and 5.2rpg. He is another player who holds two passports: Cameroonian and French. #5. Experienced Ralph Temgoua (194-G-87, college: St.Lawrence, currently plays in France) contributed to a SO Maritime Boulogne's victory against the 13th-ranked Lorient (7-17) 72-67 in the French NM1 (third division) last Saturday. Temgoua scored 9 points in 19 minutes. SO Maritime Boulogne (17-7) is placed second in Group A. It was his team's third consecutive victory in a row. There are only two games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game will be critical. Temgoua's stats this year are: 12.7ppg, 2.6rpg, 2.8apg and 1.2spg in 23 games. He has both Cameroonian and French nationalities. #6. Roland Nyama (198-G/F-93, agency: Scorers 1st Sportmanagement, college: Stony Brook, currently plays in Germany) was not able to help Walter Tigers in their game against Gladiators in the German ProA (second division). He scored 9 points in 19 minutes. His team was badly defeated by 20 points 94-74. This year Nyama's total stats are: 8.6ppg, 2.7rpg and 1.2apg in 23 games. He also holds two passports: Cameroonian and German. Despite Nyama's Cameroonian nationality, he previously played for the German U16 national team and is probably not eligible to play for the Cameroonian team. #7. Philippe Bayehe (204-C/F-99, currently plays in Italy) was not able to secure a victory for Roseto Sharks (7-16) in their last game. Despite Bayehe's good performance the 14th-placed Roseto Sharks was crushed 88-66 at home by the leading Basket RAV in the East group. He recorded 11 points and grabbed 7 rebounds in 24 minutes. Bayehe's stats this year are: 11.9ppg and 6.8rpg in 23 games. #8. Johan Bitjaa Kody (207-C-93, agency: Interperformances, currently plays in Spain) helped UBU Tizona edge the third-ranked Juaristi ISB 72-71 in the Spanish LEB Silver (third division) in Saturday night's game. He recorded a double-double by scoring 11 points and getting 10 rebounds. Bitjaa Kody averaged so far 10.2ppg and 6.6rpg. #9. Russell Tchewa (213-C-0, currently plays college basketball in the States) helped Texas Tech win their game against the Texas Christian University crushing them 88-42 in the NCAA in Monday night's game. Tchewa scored 6 points in only 9 minutes. This year Tchewa averages only 1.8ppg in 18 games. #10. Tcheussi Aristide Mouaha (190-G-0, agency: Two Points, currently plays in Italy) is a teammate of previously mentioned Philippe Bayehe. But that was another game of his team in Italian Serie A2 which we would like to mention. Mouaha managed to help Roseto Sharks to win against the eighth-ranked UCC Piacenza 88-77. He scored 5 points and grabbed 6 rebounds. Mouaha's total stats this season are: 7.1ppg, 3.0rpg, 1.1apg and 1.4spg.
