Tia Weledji (ex Caledonia P) joins Genero

Magectias Contra Violencia Genero (LF2) agreed terms with 23-year old Cameroonian international swingman Tia Weledji (178-78kg-96, college: Princeton). She is the second import player in the roster as Canadian Jessica Duleba signed here earlier.
Weledji played last season at Caledonia Pride in British WBBL. In 18 games she had very impressive stats: 17.4ppg, 6.2rpg, 2.5apg and 1.7spg. Weledji's team made it to the Scottish Cup Finalist final. She was voted Eurobasket.com All-English WBBL Honorable Mention in 2019.
Weledji also represented Cameroon at the Francophonie Games (Abidjan, Ivory Coast) two years ago.
She graduated from Princeton University in 2018 and it is her second season as a professional player.
On Weledji: Dynamic big guard who can score from various locations on the floor - can get to the rim off the dribble or on a post up, can pull-up mid range, and can hit the three. Sees the court well and is able to create shots for teammates. Can play the 1, 2, 3, and sometimes 4 on offense and likewise, is able to guard various positions on defense.
