Kenny Kadji selected the top Cameroonian playing abroad in last week's games

We bring you last week's top performances from Cameroonians who are playing abroad and who all have had prior experience of national team duties at youth or senior level.

Kenny Kadji

   #1. This week's number one is an international forward Kenny Kadji (211-88, college: Miami, FL, currently plays in Turkey). He was the major contributor in Tofas' victory against the 11th-ranked Acibadem (11-15) 87-85 in the Turkish BSL in Saturday night's game. Kadji recorded 24 points and grabbed 9 rebounds in 33 minutes on the court. Tofas Bursa (9-7) is placed third in the BSL. The Regular Season already ended. Kadji has relatively good stats this year: 12.3ppg, 4.7rpg, 1.2apg, 2FGP: 49.4%, 3FGP: 37.1% and FT: 73.5% in 24 games he played so far. He is currently a member of the Cameroonian senior national team.

Jeremy Nzeulie

   #2. Second place goes to an international shooting guard Jeremy Nzeulie (188-91, currently plays in France). Nzeulie could not help SIG Strasbourg (18-12) in their last game on Tuesday. Despite his very good performance SIG Strasbourg was edged 93-91 on the road by the much lower-ranked Chalons-Reims (#13). Nzeulie was the top scorer with 23 points. He also added 3 assists. There are only four games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game will be critical. This season Nzeulie averages: 7.8ppg, 2.4rpg, 1.6apg, 2FGP: 41.9%, 3FGP: 34.5% and FT: 72.4%. He has a dual citizenship: Cameroonian and French. Nzeulie is in the roster of the Cameroonian senior national team.

Landry Nnoko

   #3. The Cameroonian player who performed third best last week abroad was an international center Landry Nnoko (208-94, college: Clemson, currently plays in Germany). Nnoko was not able to help ALBA Berlin (22-7) in their last game. Despite his very good performance ALBA Berlin lost 75-85 in Muenchen to the leading Bayern. Nnoko was the top scorer with 15 points. He also added 6 rebounds in 24 minutes; not bad, considering it's only Nnoko's third season in pro basketball. There are only four games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game is very crucial. It's Nnoko's first year with the team. This season his overall stats are: 9.4ppg, 6.4rpg, 2FGP: 71.6%(68-95) and FT: 75.0% in 19 games. Nnoko is also a member of the Cameroonian senior national team.

D.J. Strawberry

   #4. An experienced shooting guard D.J. Strawberry (196-85, college: Maryland, currently plays in Spain) contributed to a Gran Canaria's victory against the closely-ranked Movil Estudiantes (10-18) 96-86 in the Spanish Liga Endesa last Saturday. Strawberry scored 6 points and added 5 assists. Herbalife Gran Canaria (11-19) is placed 13th in the Liga Endesa. Strawberry's total stats this season are: 9.9ppg, 2.1rpg and 1.9apg. He is another player who holds two passports: Cameroonian and American. Strawberry is also Cameroonian national team player.

Frank Tchoubaye

   #5. International forward Frank Tchoubaye (198-92, currently plays in France) led Souffelweyersheim to a victory over the fifth-ranked Vendee Challans (8-8) 69-64 in the French NM1 (third division) on Saturday night. He was MVP of the game. Tchoubaye scored 16 points in 22 minutes. BC Souffelweyersheim (13-2) is placed first in Places 1-10 group. It was his team's fourth consecutive victory in a row. There are only two games left until the end of the Second Stage. It's Tchoubaye's first season with the team. This year he has relatively solid stats: 10.2ppg, 3.4rpg, 1.5apg and 1.5spg in 33 games. Tchoubaye plays currently for the Cameroonian national team.

Williams Narace

   #6. Forward Williams Narace (201-97, currently plays in France) helped Sluc Nancy win their game against the closely-ranked JA Vichy (21-8) 92-80 in the French ProB (second division) in Tuesday night's game. He recorded 14 points and grabbed 9 rebounds. Sluc Nancy Basket Pro (20-9) is placed fifth in the ProB. Narace's total stats this season are: 7.4ppg and 4.7rpg. He is an international player who is currently on the senior Cameroonian National Team roster.

Aldo Curti

   #7. Former international point guard Aldo Curti (180-87, currently plays in France) is a teammate of previously mentioned Frank Tchoubaye and both played together in the last French NM1 game. Curti helped Souffelweyersheim win their game against the fifth-ranked Vendee Challans (8-8) 69-64. He scored 11 points, made 6 passes and 5 steals in 29 minutes. Alexis Wangmene

   #8. Center Alexis Wangmene (205-89, college: Texas, currently plays in Belgium) was not able to secure a victory for Liege Basket (14-8) in their game against Leuven Bears (8-22) in the Belgian Euromillions League. Benoit Mbala

   #9. International forward Benoit Mbala (203-95, currently plays in France) couldn't help Aix-Maurienne (8-21) in their last game on Friday. Despite Mbala's good performance Aix-Maurienne was edged 63-60 at home by the much higher-ranked JA Vichy (#3). He was the second best scorer with 10 points. Mbala also added 9 rebounds. Mbala averaged so far 14.7ppg, 7.8rpg, 1.1apg and 1.2spg. He is also in the roster of the Cameroonian national team.

Gedeon Pitard

   #10. Guard Gedeon Pitard (188-89, currently plays in France) managed to help Champagne Chalons-Reims Basket in a 2-point victory against the 11th-ranked Boulazac Basket (15-14) 83-81 in the French Jeep ELITE ProA on Friday night. Pitard scored only 3 points in 17 minutes. Champagne Chalons-Reims Basket (20-10) is placed fourth in the Jeep ELITE ProA. There are only four games left until the end of the Regular Season. Pitard has averaged so far 4.3ppg, 2.2rpg and 2.0apg in 29 games. He is an international player who is currently on the senior Cameroonian National Team roster.

   #11. Former international center Junior MBida (206-90, currently plays in France) helped Entente Orleans 45 win their game against the league leader Chorale de Roanne 76-63 in the French ProB (second division) in Saturday night's game. MBida scored only 2 points and grabbed 8 rebounds. MBida has averaged so far 6.7ppg, 5.2rpg and 1.1bpg. He used to play for the Cameroonian national team four years ago.

   #12. International power forward Franck Yangue (205-90, currently plays in Turkey) helped Buyukcekmece win their game against one of league's weakest teams Afyon Bld 80-76 in the Turkish BSL on Sunday night. He recorded only one point. Yangue has averaged so far 1.7ppg and 2.4rpg. He is also in the roster of the Cameroonian national team.

   #13. International forward Arnaud-William Adala Moto (198-93, agency: Duran International, college: Towson, currently plays in France) faced previously mentioned Benoit Mbala in the French ProB last game. Adala Moto helped JA Vichy win their game against the 16th-ranked Aix-Maurienne 63-60. He scored 9 points and grabbed 5 rebounds in 19 minutes. Adala Moto has averaged so far 6.4ppg and 2.8rpg in 29 games. He is also Cameroonian national team player.


The list of other players, who all have Cameroonian passport but never been selected to any of Cameroonian national teams:

   #1. Pascal Siakam (206-F-94, college: N.Mexico St., currently plays in NBA) was the major contributor in a Toronto Raptors' victory against the Philadelphia 76ers (51-31) 108-95 in the NBA on Saturday night. He recorded 29 points (!!!) and grabbed 7 rebounds in 35 minutes; quite an impressive performance considering it's only Siakam's third season in pro basketball. The Toronto Raptors have a solid 58-24 record this season. Siakam has individually a very good year with high stats. He averages: 17.4ppg, 7.0rpg and 3.1apg in 87 games he played so far.

   #2. Joel Embiid (213-C-94, college: Kansas, currently plays in NBA) led Philadelphia 76ers to a victory over the Brooklyn Nets (42-40) crushing them 122-100 in the NBA in Tuesday night's game. Embiid was MVP of the game. He recorded a double-double by scoring 23 points and getting 13 rebounds. The Philadelphia 76ers have a solid 51-31 record this season. It's Embiid's fifth year with the team. This year Embiid has very high stats. He averages: 27.0ppg, 13.4rpg, 3.6apg and 1.9bpg.

   #3. JP Tokoto (198-F-93, college: UNC, currently plays in Israel) contributed to a Hapoel Eilat's victory against the eighth-ranked Ironi Nes-Ziona (13-16) 89-77 in the Israeli Winner League on Monday night. He recorded a double-double by scoring 19 points and getting 11 rebounds. Hapoel Eilat (20-9) is placed fourth in the Winner League. Ralph Temgoua (194-G-87, college: St.Lawrence, currently plays in France) was the main contributor in a SO Maritime Boulogne's victory against the fifth-ranked Vendee Challans (8-8) crushing them 85-60 in the French NM1 (third division) in Tuesday night's game. Temgoua was MVP of the game. He recorded 16 points and added 3 assists in 26 minutes. SO Maritime Boulogne (6-10) is placed eighth in Places 1-10 group. It was his team's third consecutive victory in a row. There are only two games left until the end of the Second Stage. So now every game is very crucial. This year Temgoua's total stats are: 8.9ppg, 2.9rpg and 2.2apg in 33 games. He is another player who holds two passports: Cameroonian and French.

   #5. Paul Biligha (200-C/F-90, agency: Players Group, currently plays in Italy) managed to help Umana Reyer Venezia to win against the 14th-ranked Grissin Bon RE (7-21) 76-71 in the Italian Serie A on Sunday night. Biligha recorded only one point. Umana Reyer Venezia (19-9) is placed second in the Serie A. There are only two games left until the end of the Regular Season. Biligha has averaged so far 4.3ppg and 1.6rpg. He has both Cameroonian and Italian nationalities.

   #6. Experienced Tcheussi Aristide Mouaha (190-G-0, agency: Two Points, currently plays in Italy) could not help Roma S.Azzurra (15-14) in their last game. Despite Mouaha's very good performance the eighth-placed Roma S.Azzurra lost 63-70 on the road to the leading San Severo in the Group D. He was the top scorer with 18 points. Mouaha also added 4 rebounds and 3 assists (made all of his eight free throws) in 35 minutes. Mouaha has very impressive stats this year: 17.6ppg, 5.3rpg, 2.5apg and 2.1spg in 29 games.

   #7. Maxime Djo Ebala (208-C-94, currently plays in France) was not able to help Orchesien BC in their game against Rueil in the French NM1 (third division). Djo Ebala scored 6 points. His team was defeated 99-93. Djo Ebala has averaged so far 3.0ppg and 2.1rpg. He also holds two passports: Cameroonian and French.

   #8. Kevin Ndzie (209-C-3, currently plays in Italy) is a teammate of previously mentioned Tcheussi Aristide Mouaha and both played together in the last Italian Serie B game. Ndzie was not able to secure a victory for Roma S.Azzurra in their game against San Severo. He recorded 7 points and grabbed 4 rebounds in 22 minutes. His team lost 63-70. Ndzie has averaged so far 2.5ppg and 2.2rpg in 19 games.

   #9. Philippe Bayehe (204-C/F-99, currently plays in Italy) helped Roseto Sharks edge the third-ranked Remer TVG 75-73 in the Italian Serie A2 (second division) in Sunday night's game. He recorded only 2 points. Bayehe has averaged so far 1.6ppg and 1.2rpg.

   #10. Jean-Dieudonniz Biog (205-C-95, currently plays in France) helped ALS Basket win their game against the seventh-ranked CFBB crushing them 96-59 in the French NM1 (third division) last Saturday. He scored 12 points in 21 minutes. Biog has averaged so far 6.3ppg and 3.5rpg in eight games. He holds both Cameroonian and French passports. Despite Biog's Cameroonian nationality, he previously played for the French U20 national team and is probably not eligible to play for the Cameroonian team.
