   #1. This week's number one is an international center Landry Nnoko (208-94, college: Clemson, currently plays in Germany). Nnoko led ALBA Berlin to a victory against the 15th-ranked Mitteldeutscher BC (7-22) 102-91 in the German BBL on Saturday night. He had a double-double by scoring 13 points and getting 12 rebounds. Nnoko also added 2 blocks in 21 minutes on the court. ALBA Berlin (22-5) is placed third in the BBL. It was his team's seventh consecutive victory in a row. This year Nnoko averages: 8.9ppg, 6.4rpg, 2FGP: 72.3%(60-83) and FT: 72.7% in 17 games he played so far. He is currently a member of the Cameroonian senior national team.

Benoit Mbala

   #2. Second place goes to an international forward Benoit Mbala (203-95, currently plays in France). He could not help Aix-Maurienne (8-19) in their last game. Despite Mbala's very good performance Aix-Maurienne lost 61-67 on the road to the much higher-ranked (#9) ADA Blois. He had a double-double by scoring 25 points and getting 18 rebounds. Mbala also added 3 assists in 26 minutes. It was Aix-Maurienne's third consecutive loss in a row. Mbala has individually a very good year with high stats. He averages: 16.5ppg, 8.4rpg, 1.1apg, 1.3spg, 2FGP: 58.1%(61-105), 3FGP: 44.4% and FT: 66.2% in 11 games. Mbala is in the roster of the Cameroonian senior national team.

   #3. The Cameroonian player who performed third best last week abroad was an international forward Williams Narace (201-97, currently plays in France). He contributed to an easy victory against the closely-ranked Saint Chamond (17-10) crushing them 97-68 in the French ProB (second division) on Friday night. Narace scored 14 points and grabbed 8 rebounds. Sluc Nancy Basket Pro (19-8) is placed fourth in the ProB. Narace's overall stats this season are: 7.5ppg, 4.7rpg, 2FGP: 44.6%, 3FGP: 29.2% and FT: 64.7%. He is also a member of the Cameroonian senior national team.

   #4. An experienced shooting guard D.J. Strawberry (196-85, college: Maryland, currently plays in Spain) was not able to help Gran Canaria in their game against La ICL Manresa (16-12) in the Spanish Liga Endesa. Strawberry recorded 7 points. Gran Canaria was defeated 84-76 at home by the much higher-ranked La ICL Manresa (#5). It's Strawberry's first season with the team. He has relatively good stats this year: 10.1ppg, 2.1rpg and 1.8apg. Strawberry has a dual citizenship: Cameroonian and American. He is also Cameroonian national team player.

   #5. International shooting guard Jeremy Nzeulie (188-91, currently plays in France) managed to help SIG Strasbourg in a victory against the closely-ranked Boulazac Basket (15-12) 93-88 in the French Jeep ELITE ProA on Friday night. Nzeulie recorded only 2 points in 16 minutes. SIG Strasbourg (17-11) is placed sixth in the Jeep ELITE ProA. This year Nzeulie's overall stats are: 7.4ppg, 2.4rpg and 1.6apg in 25 games. He is another player who holds two passports: Cameroonian and French. Nzeulie plays currently for the Cameroonian national team.

   #6. Point guard Aldo Curti (180-87, currently plays in France) contributed to Souffelweyersheim's victory against the tenth-ranked La Charite (2-12) 96-83 in the French NM1 (third division) in Saturday night's game. He scored only 3 points and added 11 passes. BC Souffelweyersheim (11-2) is placed first in Places 1-10 group. There are only four games left until the end of the Second Stage. So now every game will be critical. Curti's total stats this season are: 9.4ppg, 3.0rpg, 5.5apg and 1.4spg. He is a former international player as he played for the Cameroonian senior team four years ago.

Former international center Junior MBida (206-90, currently plays in France) contributed to an easy victory against the 14th-ranked Quimper UJAP (9-18) crushing them 98-76 in the French ProB (second division) last Friday. MBida scored 7 points and grabbed 4 rebounds in 17 minutes. Entente Orleans 45 (19-8) is placed third in the ProB. This year MBida's total stats are: 7.1ppg, 5.3rpg and 1.1bpg in 27 games. He used to play for the Cameroonian national team four years ago.

   #8. Center Alexis Wangmene (205-89, college: Texas, currently plays in Belgium) was not able to secure a victory for one of league's weakest teams Liege Basket (14-8) in their game against Basic-Fit Brussels (18-10) in the Belgian Euromillions League. Wangmene scored 8 points, had 7 rebounds and made 3 blocks. Liege Basket was badly defeated 93-76 in Brussels by the higher-ranked Basic-Fit (#4). This season Wangmene has relatively solid stats: 15.0ppg, 7.9rpg and 1.1bpg. He used to play for the Cameroonian national team back in 2015.

   #9. International guard Gedeon Pitard (188-89, currently plays in France) couldn't help Chalons-Reims (18-10) in their game against Provence Basket (9-19) in the French Jeep ELITE ProA. Pitard recorded 5 points and grabbed 4 rebounds. Chalons-Reims was defeated 84-73 in Fos-sur-Mer by the much lower-ranked Provence Basket (#15). Pitard has averaged so far 4.4ppg, 2.3rpg and 2.0apg. He is also in the roster of the Cameroonian national team.

   #10. Forward Frank Tchoubaye (198-92, currently plays in France) is a teammate of previously mentioned Aldo Curti and both played together in the last French NM1 game. Tchoubaye contributed to Souffelweyersheim's victory against the tenth-ranked La Charite (2-12) 96-83. He scored only 4 points in 14 minutes. Tchoubaye has averaged so far 9.9ppg, 3.5rpg, 1.5apg and 1.5spg in 31 games. He is an international player who is currently on the senior Cameroonian National Team roster.

   #11. International forward Arnaud-William Adala Moto (198-93, agency: Duran International, college: Towson, currently plays in France) contributed to a JA Vichy's victory against one of league's weakest teams Caen 77-70 in the French ProB (second division) in Friday night's game. Adala Moto scored 7 points and grabbed 5 rebounds. Adala Moto has averaged so far 6.5ppg and 2.8rpg. He plays currently for the Cameroonian national team.


The list of other players, who all have Cameroonian passport but never been selected to any of Cameroonian national teams:

   #1. Joel Embiid (213-C-94, college: Kansas, currently plays in NBA) led Philadelphia 76ers to a victory over the Brooklyn Nets (42-40) 112-108 in the NBA in Saturday night's game. He was MVP of the game. Embiid had a double-double by scoring 31 points and getting 16 rebounds. He also added 7 assists and 6 blocks (made all of his six free throws) in 32 minutes. The Philadelphia 76ers have a solid 51-31 record this season. It's Embiid's fifth year with the team. Embiid has individually a very good year with high stats. He averages: 27.4ppg, 13.6rpg, 3.7apg and 2.0bpg in 67 games he played so far.

   #2. Pascal Siakam (206-F-94, college: N.Mexico St., currently plays in NBA) was the main contributor in a Toronto Raptors' victory against the Orlando Magic (42-40) 98-93 in the NBA last Friday. Siakam was MVP of the game. He recorded a double-double by scoring 30 points and getting 11 rebounds. Siakam also added 4 assists; quite an impressive performance considering it's only his third season in pro basketball. The Toronto Raptors have a solid 58-24 record this season. This year Siakam has very high stats. He averages: 17.2ppg, 7.0rpg and 3.1apg.

   #3. JP Tokoto (198-F-93, college: UNC, currently plays in Israel) contributed to a 3-point Hapoel Eilat's victory against the closely-ranked Hapoel Jerusalem (19-8) 81-78 in the Israeli Winner League in Thursday night's game. Tokoto recorded 8 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists. It was the game of the round between two top 4 ranked teams. Hapoel Eilat (19-9) is placed fourth in the Winner League. It's Tokoto's first season with the team. He has relatively good stats this year: 13.9ppg, 7.5rpg, 3.4apg and 1.6spg. Tokoto has a dual citizenship: Cameroonian and American.

   #4. Paul Biligha (200-C/F-90, agency: Players Group, currently plays in Italy). Biligha could not help Umana Venezia (18-9) to beat Alma TR (16-11). He scored only 4 points in 9 minutes on the court. Umana Venezia was badly defeated 104-85 on the road by the lower-ranked (#6) Alma TR. There are only three games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game will be critical. This year Biligha's overall stats are: 4.4ppg and 1.6rpg in 27 games. He is another player who holds two passports: Cameroonian and Italian.

   #5. Ralph Temgoua (194-G-87, college: St.Lawrence, currently plays in France) managed to help SO Maritime Boulogne in a victory against the second-ranked STB Le Havre (10-4) 81-75 in the French NM1 (third division) in Friday night's game. Temgoua scored only 3 points and grabbed 7 rebounds in 25 minutes. SO Maritime Boulogne (4-10) is placed ninth in Places 1-10 group. There are only four games left until the end of the Second Stage. So now every game is very crucial. Temgoua has averaged so far 8.7ppg, 2.9rpg and 2.3apg in 31 games. He has both Cameroonian and French nationalities.

   #6. Samir Gbetkom Bikantchou (191-G-98, currently plays in France) was not able to help Le Portel in their game against Limoges CSP Elite in the French Jeep ELITE ProA. Gbetkom Bikantchou cannot count Saturday's game as one of the best ones. He recorded only 2 points in 3 minutes on the court. His team was crushed by 22 points 89-67. This year Gbetkom Bikantchou averages just 0.9ppg in 15 games.

   #7. Maxime Djo Ebala (208-C-94, currently plays in France) contributed to a Orchesien BC's victory against the sixth-ranked JSA Bordeaux 68-63 in the French NM1 (third division) on Friday night. He scored 5 points. Djo Ebala has averaged so far 3.0ppg and 2.2rpg. He also holds two passports: Cameroonian and French.

   #8. Experienced Kevin Ndzie (209-C-3, currently plays in Italy) was not able to secure a victory for Roma S.Azzurra in their game against Palestrina in the Italian Serie B (third division). Ndzie scored 7 points, had 10 rebounds and made 3 blocks in 28 minutes. His team was crushed by 34 points 90-56. Ndzie has averaged so far 2.2ppg and 2.1rpg in 18 games.

   #9. Paul Herman Eboua (203-F/C-0, currently plays in Italy) couldn't help Roseto Sharks in their game against Consultinvest BO in the Italian Serie A2 (second division). He cannot count Saturday's game as one of the best ones. Eboua scored only 3 points. His team was defeated 92-81. Eboua has averaged so far 5.9ppg and 3.5rpg.

   #10. Bertrand Ndzie (203-C-99, currently plays in Italy) is a teammate of previously mentioned Kevin Ndzie and both played together in the last Italian Serie B game. Ndzie couldn't help Roma S.Azzurra in their game against Palestrina. He scored 6 points and grabbed 5 rebounds in 28 minutes. His team was crushed by 34 points 90-56. Ndzie has averaged so far 1.6ppg and 2.8rpg in 15 games.

Condor Basketball Club crowned Champions - 5 days ago
Condor Basketball Club crowned Champions finishing with a 4-2 record in the Final Four Stage. In the second round they first beat FAP 79:74 as the latter finished second with the same record. In Day 2 Conor overcame UDLA 104:81 and then did not mind a 70-80 loss from Ecole de Basket. Both UDLA and Ecole de Basket ended up with 2-4 records.   [read more]
