We bring you last week's top performances from Cameroonians who are playing abroad and who all have had prior experience of national team duties at youth or senior level.

   #1. This week's number one is an international forward Kenny Kadji (211-88, college: Miami, FL, currently plays in Turkey). Kadji could not help Tofas (8-3) in their last game on Sunday. Despite his good performance Tofas was defeated 93-81 at home by the leading Anadolu Efes. Kadji was the second best scorer with 13 points. There are only two games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game will be critical. Kadji has relatively good stats this season: 11.7ppg, 4.0rpg, 1.4apg, 2FGP: 51.5%, 3FGP: 34.4% and FT: 83.9%. He is currently a member of the Cameroonian senior national team.

   #2. Second place goes to an international shooting guard Jeremy Nzeulie (188-91, currently plays in Basketball Champions League). Nzeulie led his French team SIG Strasbourg to a victory against the closely-ranked BBC Bayreuth (4-5) 84-76 in the Basketball Champions League last Wednesday. He scored 11 points in 27 minutes. It was the game of the round between two top 4 ranked teams. SIG Strasbourg (6-3) is placed second in the Basketball Champions League. This year Nzeulie has relatively solid stats: 12.7ppg, 3.0rpg, 1.9apg, 2FGP: 47.4%, 3FGP: 42.2% in nine games he played so far. He has a dual citizenship: Cameroonian and French. Nzeulie is in the roster of the Cameroonian senior national team.

D.J. Strawberry
D.J. Strawberry
   #3. The Cameroonian player who performed third best last week abroad was an experienced international shooting guard D.J. Strawberry (196-85, college: Maryland, currently plays in Spain). Strawberry was not able to help Gran Canaria in their game against Zaragoza (7-6) in the Spanish Liga Endesa. He recorded 8 points and grabbed 6 rebounds. Gran Canaria was edged 71-69 on the road by the higher-ranked Zaragoza (#7). Strawberry has reliable stats this season: 10.8ppg, 2.4rpg, 1.9apg, 1.1spg, 2FGP: 55.6%(35-63), 3FGP: 28.8% and FT: 69.0%. He is another player who holds two passports: Cameroonian and American. Strawberry is also a member of the Cameroonian senior national team.

Junior MBida
Junior MBida
   #4. Center Junior MBida (206-90, currently plays in France) was not able to secure a victory for one of league's weakest teams Entente Orleans 45 (8-3) in their game against Chorale de Roanne (9-2) in the French ProB (second division), despite his very good performance on Friday night. He was the top scorer with 15 points. MBida also added 6 rebounds and made 2 blocks (was perfect 10-for-10 from the free throw line !!!) in 24 minutes. But Entente Orleans 45 lost 69-82 in Roanne to the leading Chorale de. But this is still an early stage of the season and everything may happen. This year MBida's overall stats are: 7.9ppg, 5.8rpg and 1.2bpg in 11 games. He used to play for the Cameroonian national team back in 2015.

   #5. International center Landry Nnoko (208-94, college: Clemson, currently plays in EuroCup) couldn't help ALBA Berlin in their game against Lokomotiv in the Eurocup. Nnoko cannot count Wednesday's game as one of the best ones. He recorded only 2 points and grabbed 5 rebounds. It was his first game for ALBA Berlin this season. The first-placed ALBA Berlin was defeated 92-82 in Krasnodar by the second-ranked Lokomotiv in the group E of Eurocup. It's Nnoko's first year with the team. Nnoko plays currently for the Cameroonian national team.

Aldo Curti
Aldo Curti
   #6. Point guard Aldo Curti (180-87, currently plays in France) was the major contributor in Souffelweyersheim's victory against the third-ranked Saint Vallier (10-6) 78-64 in the French NM1 (third division) last Saturday. He recorded 15 points in 29 minutes. It was the game of the round between two top 3 ranked teams in Group A. BC Souffelweyersheim (15-1) is placed first. It was his team's 13th consecutive victory in a row. It's Curti's first season with the team. This year Curti's total stats are: 7.7ppg, 2.9rpg, 5.7apg and 1.1spg in 15 games. He is a former international player as he played for the Cameroonian senior team three years ago.

Gaston Essengue

   #7. Former international center Gaston Essengue (203-83, college: UNLV, currently plays in Argentina) contributed to a Quilmes MP's victory against the closely-ranked Bahia Basket (1-3) 68-63 in the Argentinian La Liga on Friday night. Essengue scored 8 points, grabbed 9 rebounds and dished 3 assists. It was his first game for Quilmes MP this season. His team is placed 17th in the La Liga. They ended the series of three consecutive loses. But the season just started, so everything may happen. Essengue used to play for the Cameroonian national team three years ago.

Frank Tchoubaye

   #8. Forward Frank Tchoubaye (198-92, currently plays in France) is a teammate of previously mentioned Aldo Curti. But that was another game of his team in French NM1 which we would like to mention. Tchoubaye couldn't help Souffelweyersheim (15-1) in their game against Kaysersberg (6-10). Despite his good performance last Tuesday He scored 11 points and had 3 steals. Tchoubaye's stats this season are: 10.1ppg, 3.7rpg, 1.4apg and 1.6spg. He plays currently for the Cameroonian national team.

   #9. International forward Williams Narace (201-97, currently plays in France) helped Sluc Nancy win their game against the 16th-ranked C'Chartres (3-8) 95-77 in the French ProB (second division) in Tuesday night's game. Narace recorded 6 points. Sluc Nancy Basket Pro (7-4) is placed fifth in the ProB. But the season is still in it's first stage and everything can happen. This season Narace averages: 8.0ppg and 5.0rpg. He is also in the roster of the Cameroonian national team.

   #10. Guard Gedeon Pitard (188-89, currently plays in France) couldn't help Chalons-Reims (11-4) in their game against Limoges CSP Elite (7-7) in the French ProA. He cannot count Friday's game as one of the best ones. Pitard scored only 2 points. Chalons-Reims was crushed 106-83 on their home court in Reims by the much lower-ranked Limoges CSP Elite (#12). It was Chalons-Reims' first loss after four consecutive victories. Pitard has averaged so far 4.6ppg, 2.4rpg and 2.4apg. He is an international player who is currently on the senior Cameroonian National Team roster.

   #11. International forward Arnaud-William Adala Moto (198-93, agency: Duran International, college: Towson, currently plays in France) managed to help Jean D'Arc Vichy Clermont Metropole in a victory against the league outsider Caen 96-81 in the French ProB (second division) last Saturday. He scored only 4 points and grabbed 5 rebounds in 11 minutes. Adala Moto has averaged so far 6.4ppg and 3.3rpg in 11 games. He plays currently for the Cameroonian national team.


The list of other players, who all have Cameroonian passport but never been selected to any of Cameroonian national teams:

   #1. Joel Embiid (213-C-94, college: Kansas, currently plays in NBA) led Philadelphia 76ers to a victory over the Toronto Raptors (25-10) crushing them 126-101 in the NBA in Saturday night's game. He was MVP of the game. Embiid had a double-double by scoring 27 points and getting 11 rebounds in 31 minutes. The Philadelphia 76ers have a solid 22-12 record this season. It's Embiid's fifth year with the team. He has individually a very good year with high stats. Embiid averages: 26.4ppg, 13.1rpg, 3.5apg and 1.8bpg in 33 games he played so far.

   #2. Pascal Siakam (206-F-94, college: N.Mexico St., currently plays in NBA) faced previously mentioned Joel Embiid in the NBA last game. Siakam could not help the Toronto Raptors (25-10) in their last game on Saturday. Despite his very good performance the Toronto Raptors (25-10) were crushed 126-101 on the road by the Philadelphia 76ers. Siakam was the top scorer with 26 points. He also added 6 rebounds. This season Siakam has very high stats. He averages: 14.8ppg, 6.3rpg, 2.7apg and 1.1spg.

   #3. JP Tokoto (198-F-93, college: N.Carolina, currently plays in Israel) contributed to an easy victory against the closely-ranked Galil Gilboa (6-4) 88-70 in the Israeli Winner League on Monday night. Tokoto had a double-double by scoring 13 points and getting 12 rebounds. He also added and 3 steals in 26 minutes. Hapoel Eilat (7-3) is placed third in the Winner League. It was his team's fifth consecutive victory in a row. It's Tokoto's first season with the team. Tokoto has relatively good stats this year: 12.6ppg, 6.8rpg, 2.5apg and 1.9spg in 10 games. He has a dual citizenship: Cameroonian and American.

   #4. Nicolas Batum (203-SF-88, currently plays in NBA) contributed to a Charlotte Hornets' victory against the Cleveland Cavaliers (8-26) 110-99 in the NBA on Wednesday night. He recorded 12 points. The Charlotte Hornets have 16-16 record this season. It's Batum's fourth year with the team. Batum has reliable stats this year: 8.9ppg, 5.1rpg and 3.4apg. He is another player who holds two passports: French and Cameroonian.

   #5. Paul Biligha (200-C/F-90, agency: Players Group, currently plays in Italy) managed to help Umana Reyer Venezia in a victory against one of league's weakest teams MIA-RO Cantu (3-8) crushing them 93-71 in the Italian Serie A in Sunday night's game. Biligha scored 5 points in 20 minutes. Umana Reyer Venezia (9-2) is placed second in the Serie A. This year Biligha's overall stats are: 5.0ppg and 2.1rpg in 11 games. He has both Cameroonian and Italian nationalities.

   #6. Ralph Temgoua (194-G-87, college: St.Lawrence, currently plays in France) was not able to help SO Maritime Boulogne (8-8) in their last game. Despite his good performance SO Maritime Boulogne (#7) was edged 74-71 on the opponent's court by the second-ranked Saint-Quentin in the Group A. Temgoua was the top scorer with 13 points in 23 minutes. Temgoua has averaged so far 8.6ppg, 2.4rpg and 2.2apg in 16 games. He also holds two passports: Cameroonian and French.

   #7. Jonathan Tchatchoua (203-F-99, currently plays college basketball in the States) helped UNLV win their game against the University of Hawaii 73-59 in the NCAA on Saturday night. Tchatchoua scored 7 points and grabbed 9 rebounds in 30 minutes. Tchatchoua has averaged so far 3.5ppg and 3.2rpg in 10 games. He has Australian and Cameroonian nationalities.

   #8. Aristide Boya (216-C-99, currently studies in the States) was not able to secure a victory for the Bradley in their game against the Georgia Southern University in the NCAA. Boya recorded 8 points, 7 rebounds and 2 blocks in only 14 minutes. His team lost 74-79. Boya has averaged so far 5.7ppg, 5.0rpg and 2.0bpg in three games.

   #9. Samuel Dingba (196-F, is currently at the American university) couldn't help the Vermont in their game against the David Lipscomb University in the NCAA. Dingba recorded 8 points and grabbed 4 rebounds in only 12 minutes. His team was crushed by 25 points 91-66. Dingba has averaged so far 1.6ppg and 2.3rpg in nine games.

   #10. Johan Bitjaa Kody (207-C-93, agency: Interperformances, currently plays in Spain) couldn't help Caceres Basket in their game against Ourense in the Spanish LEB Gold (second division). He scored 7 points and blocked 2 shots. His team was defeated 85-73. Bitjaa Kody has averaged so far 5.6ppg and 3.2rpg.
