   #1. This week's number one is an international center Landry Nnoko (208-94, college: Clemson, currently plays in Germany). Nnoko could not help one of league's weakest teams ALBA Berlin (8-2) in their last game on Sunday. Despite his good performance ALBA Berlin was edged 83-81 on the road by the leading Bayern Muenchen. Nnoko recorded a double-double by scoring 12 points and getting 13 rebounds. He also added 2 blocks. It was his first game for ALBA Berlin this season. But this is still an early stage of the season and everything may happen. Nnoko is currently a member of the Cameroonian senior national team.

   #2. Second place goes to an international shooting guard Jeremy Nzeulie (188-91, currently plays in Basketball Champions League). Nzeulie led his French team SIG Strasbourg to a victory against the league outsider P.Olimpija (1-7) 81-73 in the Basketball Champions League in Tuesday night's game. He scored 13 points and grabbed 4 rebounds. SIG Strasbourg (5-3) is placed 26th in the Basketball Champions League. It's Nzeulie's first season with the team. Nzeulie has relatively good stats this year: 12.9ppg, 3.0rpg, 2.0apg, 2FGP: 44.4%, 3FGP: 45.0% and FT: 73.9%. He has a dual citizenship: Cameroonian and French. Nzeulie is in the roster of the Cameroonian senior national team.

Benoit Mbala

   #3. The Cameroonian player who performed third best last week abroad was an international forward Benoit Mbala (203-95, currently plays in South Korea). He was not able to help Samsung Thunders in their game against KT Sonicboom (14-9) in the South Korean KBL, despite his very good performance last Thursday. Mbala recorded 21 points and grabbed 4 rebounds in 27 minutes. But the bottom-ranked Samsung Thunders lost 94-99 in Busan to the much higher-ranked (#3) KT Sonicboom. Mbala has individually a very good year with high stats. He averages: 20.6ppg, 8.8rpg, 1.6apg, 1.1bpg, 1.4spg, 2FGP: 59.1%(123-208) and FT: 66.7% in 18 games he played so far. Mbala is also a member of the Cameroonian senior national team.

Kenny Kadji

   #4. Forward Kenny Kadji (211-88, college: Miami, FL, currently plays in EuroCup) was not able to secure a victory for Tofas (3-6) in their game against Limoges CSP Elite (3-6) in the Eurocup, despite his good performance in Tuesday night's game. Kadji scored 10 points in 26 minutes. But the fifth-placed Tofas (3-6) lost 92-98 at home to the higher-ranked (#4) Limoges CSP Elite in the group B of Eurocup. His team will play only one more game in the Eurocup Regular Season. And that game will be critical. This year Kadji has relatively solid stats: 15.0ppg and 5.0rpg in nine games. He is also Cameroonian national team player.

   #5. An experienced international shooting guard D.J. Strawberry (196-85, college: Maryland, currently plays in Spain) was the major contributor in a Gran Canaria's victory against the closely-ranked Joventut (5-6) 83-68 in the Spanish Liga Endesa on Sunday night. Strawberry scored 14 points in a mere 18 minutes. Herbalife Gran Canaria (5-6) is placed ninth in the Liga Endesa. Strawberry has reliable stats this year: 11.1ppg, 2.1rpg, 2.0apg and 1.1spg in 12 games. He is another player who holds two passports: Cameroonian and American. Strawberry plays currently for the Cameroonian national team.

   #6. Center Junior MBida (206-90, currently plays in France) contributed to a 1-point Entente Orleans 45's victory against the 13th-ranked Quimper UJAP (3-6) 81-80 in the French ProB (second division) last Friday. MBida had a double-double by scoring 14 points and getting 12 rebounds in 32 minutes. Entente Orleans 45 (7-2) is placed second in the ProB. But the season just started, so everything may happen. This year MBida's overall stats are: 6.9ppg, 6.0rpg and 1.2bpg in nine games. He is a former international player as he played for the Cameroonian senior team three years ago.

   #7. International forward Frank Tchoubaye (198-92, currently plays in France) contributed to Souffelweyersheim's victory against the sixth-ranked SO Maritime Boulogne (7-7) 72-60 in the French NM1 (third division) on Saturday night. Tchoubaye scored 9 points and grabbed 4 rebounds. BC Souffelweyersheim (14-0) is placed first in Group A. So far his team won all fourteen games in the Regular Season. Tchoubaye's stats this season are: 10.5ppg, 3.9rpg, 1.4apg and 1.5spg. He is also Cameroonian national team player.

   #8. Point guard Aldo Curti (180-87, currently plays in France) is a teammate of previously mentioned Frank Tchoubaye and both played together in the last French NM1 game. Curti managed to help BC Souffelweyersheim in a victory against the sixth-ranked SO Maritime Boulogne (7-7) 72-60. He scored 5 points and added 8 passes in 29 minutes. This year Curti's total stats are: 7.5ppg, 3.0rpg, 6.2apg and 1.1spg in 13 games. He used to play for the Cameroonian national team back in 2015.

   #9. International guard Gedeon Pitard (188-89, currently plays in France) couldn't help Chalons-Reims (10-4) in their game against Pau-Lacq-Orthez (7-7) in the French ProA. Pitard scored only 4 points and grabbed 4 rebounds. Chalons-Reims was defeated 95-88 on their home court in Reims by the lower-ranked Pau-Lacq-Orthez (#9). They ended the series of four consecutive victories. Pitard has averaged so far 5.2ppg, 2.5rpg and 2.5apg. He is also in the roster of the Cameroonian national team.

   #10. Forward Williams Narace (201-97, currently plays in France) contributed to a Sluc Nancy's victory against the eighth-ranked SPO Rouen (5-4) 81-73 in the French ProB (second division) on Saturday night. Narace scored 7 points in only 13 minutes. Sluc Nancy Basket Pro (6-3) is placed third in the ProB. But the season is still in it's first stage and everything can happen. Narace has averaged so far 8.7ppg and 5.7rpg in nine games. He is an international player who is currently on the senior Cameroonian National Team roster.

   #11. International forward Arnaud-William Adala Moto (198-93, agency: Duran International, college: Towson, currently plays in France) helped JA Vichy win their game against the tenth-ranked Nantes 87-84 in the French ProB (second division) on Friday night. Adala Moto scored 7 points. Adala Moto has averaged so far 7.0ppg and 3.0rpg. He plays currently for the Cameroonian national team.


The list of other players, who all have Cameroonian passport but never been selected to any of Cameroonian national teams:

   #1. Joel Embiid (213-C-94, college: Kansas, currently plays in NBA) could not help the Philadelphia 76ers (20-12) in their last game. Despite his very good performance the Philadelphia 76ers (20-12) lost 101-113 on the road to the Indiana Pacers. Embiid had a double-double by scoring 40 points and getting 21 rebounds. He also added 3 assists in 34 minutes. It's Embiid's fifth season with the team. Embiid has individually a very good year with high stats. He averages: 26.9ppg, 13.4rpg, 3.6apg and 1.9bpg in 30 games he played so far.

   #2. Nicolas Batum (203-SF-88, currently plays in NBA) was not able to help the Charlotte Hornets (14-15) in their last game. Despite his very good performance the Charlotte Hornets (14-15) were edged 126-124 in New York City by the New York Knicks. Batum was the second best scorer with 21 points. He also added 6 rebounds and dished 7 assists in 39 minutes. It's Batum's fourth season with the team. Batum has relatively good stats this year: 9.1ppg, 5.2rpg and 3.5apg in 29 games. He has a dual citizenship: French and Cameroonian.

   #3. JP Tokoto (198-F-93, college: N.Carolina, currently plays in Israel) led Hapoel Eilat to an easy victory against the closely-ranked Galil Gilboa (6-4) 88-70 in the Israeli Winner League on Monday night. He recorded a double-double by scoring 13 points and getting 12 rebounds. Tokoto also added and 3 steals. Hapoel Eilat (7-3) is placed third in the Winner League. It was his team's fifth consecutive victory in a row. This season Tokoto has relatively solid stats: 12.6ppg, 6.2rpg, 2.6apg and 1.8spg. He is another player who holds two passports: Cameroonian and American.

   #4. Pascal Siakam (206-F-94, college: N.Mexico St., currently plays in NBA) led Toronto Raptors to an easy victory against the Golden State Warriors (21-10) crushing them 113-93 in the NBA last Wednesday. Siakam scored 13 points and added 3 assists. The Toronto Raptors have a solid 23-9 record this season. This year Siakam has very high stats. He averages: 14.4ppg, 6.2rpg and 2.7apg.

   #5. Paul Biligha (200-C/F-90, agency: Players Group, currently plays in Basketball Champions League) was not able to secure a victory for Umana Venezia (5-3) in their game against PAOK (5-3) in the Basketball Champions League. He scored 6 points. Umana Venezia was edged 77-76 in Thessaloniki by the lower-ranked PAOK (#12). Biligha's overall stats this season are: 3.3ppg and 1.4rpg. He has both Cameroonian and Italian nationalities.

   #6. Adoum Mbang (201-F, currently plays in NCAA2) contributed to an easy victory against the Western State Colorado University 77-58 in the NCAA2 in Saturday night's game. Mbang recorded a double-double by scoring 10 points and getting the same number of rebounds (was perfect 6-for-6 from the free throw line). Mbang has averaged so far 7.5ppg and 3.9rpg.

   #7. Maxime Djo Ebala (208-C-94, currently plays in France) contributed to an easy victory against the 14th-ranked Recy Saint-Martin crushing them 86-60 in the French NM1 (third division) last Saturday. He scored 7 points and grabbed 7 rebounds in 17 minutes. Djo Ebala has averaged so far 4.2ppg and 3.0rpg in nine games. He also holds two passports: Cameroonian and French.

   #8. Ralph Temgoua (194-G-87, college: St.Lawrence, currently plays in France) couldn't help SO Maritime Boulogne in their game against Souffelweyersheim in the French NM1 (third division). Temgoua cannot count Saturday's game as one of the best ones. He scored only 3 points. His team was defeated 72-60. Temgoua has averaged so far 8.4ppg, 2.6rpg and 2.2apg. He has Cameroonian and French nationalities.

   #9. Aristide Boya (216-C-99, currently plays college basketball in the States) couldn't help the Bradley in their game against the Eastern Illinois University in the NCAA. Boya recorded 6 points, 4 rebounds and 2 blocks in only 9 minutes. It was his first game for Bradley this season. His team lost 66-73.

   #10. Jonathan Tchatchoua (203-F, currently studies in the States) managed to help University of Nevada - Las Vegas to win against the Brigham Young University 92-90 in the NCAA last Saturday. Tchatchoua recorded only 3 points and grabbed 6 rebounds. Tchatchoua has averaged so far 3.1ppg and 2.6rpg. He holds both Australian and Cameroonian passports.

Condor Basketball Club crowned Champions - 6 days ago
Condor Basketball Club crowned Champions finishing with a 4-2 record in the Final Four Stage. In the second round they first beat FAP 79:74 as the latter finished second with the same record. In Day 2 Conor overcame UDLA 104:81 and then did not mind a 70-80 loss from Ecole de Basket. Both UDLA and Ecole de Basket ended up with 2-4 records.   [read more]
