We bring you last week's top performances from Cameroonians who are playing abroad and who all have had prior experience of national team duties at youth or senior level.

   #1. This week's number one is an international shooting guard Jeremy Nzeulie (188-91, currently plays in France). He led SIG Strasbourg to a victory over the 12th-ranked Boulazac Basket (5-7) 79-62 in the French ProA last Saturday. Nzeulie was MVP of the game. He scored 18 points. SIG Strasbourg (8-4) is placed second in the ProA. It's Nzeulie's first season with the team. This year Nzeulie averages: 6.8ppg, 2.8rpg, 1.3apg, 2FGP: 38.1%, 3FGP: 25.6% and FT: 69.0%. He has a dual citizenship: Cameroonian and French. Nzeulie is currently a member of the Cameroonian senior national team.

   #2. Second place goes to an international forward Kenny Kadji (211-88, college: Miami, FL, currently plays in Turkey). He contributed to Tofas' victory against the 12th-ranked Buyukcekmece (3-6) 97-83 in the Turkish BSL on Saturday night. Kadji recorded 15 points and grabbed 4 rebounds (made all of his five free throws) in 27 minutes. Tofas Bursa (7-2) is placed third in the BSL. It was his team's fifth consecutive victory in a row. There are only four games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game will be critical. Kadji has relatively good stats this year: 11.6ppg, 4.1rpg, 1.3apg, 2FGP: 50.8%, 3FGP: 34.5% and FT: 82.8% in 10 games he played so far. He is in the roster of the Cameroonian senior national team.

   #3. The Cameroonian player who performed third best last week abroad was an international forward Benoit Mbala (203-95, currently plays in South Korea). Mbala contributed to a Samsung Thunders' victory against the closely-ranked DB Promy (8-12) 83-78 in the South Korean KBL in Saturday night's game. He had a double-double by scoring 14 points and getting 11 rebounds in 22 minutes. Seoul Samsung Thunders (5-15) are located at the very bottom in the KBL. Mbala has individually a very good year with high stats. He averages: 22.3ppg, 9.5rpg, 1.5apg, 1.3bpg, 1.3spg, 2FGP: 61.4%(116-189), 3FGP: 47.1%(8-17) and FT: 66.7% in 15 games. Mbala is also a member of the Cameroonian senior national team.

   #4. An experienced shooting guard D.J. Strawberry (196-85, college: Maryland, currently plays in Spain) could not help Gran Canaria (5-5) in their last game on Sunday. Despite his good performance Gran Canaria was crushed 87-63 on the road by the higher-ranked Real Madrid (#3). Strawberry was the top scorer with 11 points. But there are still lots of games to play and it's a long way to go. This season Strawberry has relatively solid stats: 10.8ppg, 2.0rpg, 2.2apg and 1.1spg. He is another player who holds two passports: Cameroonian and American. Strawberry is also Cameroonian national team player.

International forward Williams Narace (201-97, currently plays in France) was not able to help Sluc Nancy in their game against ADA Blois (4-4) in the French ProB (second division), despite his very good performance on Saturday night. He was the top scorer with 15 points. Narace also added 6 rebounds and made 2 blocks in 24 minutes. But Sluc Nancy lost 71-80 in Blois to the much lower-ranked (#10) ADA Blois. This year Narace's overall stats are: 8.9ppg and 6.4rpg in eight games. He plays currently for the Cameroonian national team.

   #6. Forward Frank Tchoubaye (198-92, currently plays in France) helped Souffelweyersheim win their game against the 12th-ranked Recy Saint-Martin (3-10) crushing them 79-45 in the French NM1 (third division) last Saturday. Tchoubaye recorded 11 points and added 3 assists in 30 minutes. BC Souffelweyersheim (13-0) is placed first in Group A. So far his team won all thirteen games in the Regular Season. Tchoubaye has reliable stats this year: 10.6ppg, 3.9rpg, 1.5apg and 1.5spg in 13 games. He is an international player who is currently on the senior Cameroonian National Team roster.

   #7. Former international center Junior MBida (206-90, currently plays in France) was not able to secure a victory for Entente Orleans 45 (6-2) in their game against Lille Metropole (4-4) in the French ProB (second division). MBida scored 8 points and grabbed 5 rebounds. Entente Orleans 45 was defeated 76-70 in Lille by the much lower-ranked Metropole (#12). MBida's total stats this season are: 6.0ppg, 5.3rpg and 1.3bpg. He used to play for the Cameroonian national team three years ago.

   #8. Guard Gedeon Pitard (188-89, currently plays in France) couldn't help Chalons-Reims (9-4) in their game against Pau-Lacq-Orthez (7-6) in the French ProA. Pitard scored only 4 points and grabbed 4 rebounds in 16 minutes. Chalons-Reims lost 88-95 at home to the lower-ranked (#8) Pau-Lacq-Orthez. They ended the series of four consecutive victories. This year Pitard's total stats are: 5.6ppg, 2.5rpg and 2.8apg in 10 games. He plays currently for the Cameroonian national team.

   #9. International forward Arnaud-William Adala Moto (198-93, agency: Duran International, college: Towson, currently plays in France) couldn't help JA Vichy (5-3) in their game against Chorale de Roanne (7-1) in the French ProB (second division). Adala Moto scored only 4 points in 12 minutes. JA Vichy was crushed 94-68 in Roanne by the leading Chorale de. Adala Moto has averaged so far 7.0ppg and 3.1rpg in eight games. He is also in the roster of the Cameroonian national team.


The list of other players, who all have Cameroonian passport but never been selected to any of Cameroonian national teams:

   #1. Joel Embiid (213-C-94, college: Kansas, currently plays in NBA) led Philadelphia 76ers to a victory over the Detroit Pistons (13-12) 116-102 in the NBA in Monday night's game. He was MVP of the game. Embiid recorded 24 points, 8 rebounds, 3 assists and made 2 blocks in 33 minutes. The Philadelphia 76ers have a solid 19-9 record this season. But this is still an early stage of the season and everything may happen. It's Embiid's fifth year with the team. He has individually a very good season with high stats. Embiid averages: 26.3ppg, 13.3rpg, 3.6apg and 2.0bpg in 26 games he played so far.

   #2. Nicolas Batum (203-SF-88, currently plays in NBA) could not help the Charlotte Hornets (13-13) in their last game on Wednesday. Despite Batum's very good performance the Charlotte Hornets (13-13) were badly defeated 121-104 on the road by the Minnesota Timberwolves. He was the top scorer with 18 points. Batum also added 7 rebounds and dished 8 assists. But the season just started, so everything may happen. Batum is one of the most experienced players in a team as it's his fourth year in Hornets' roster. This season he has relatively solid stats: 9.0ppg, 5.5rpg and 3.5apg. Batum has a dual citizenship: French and Cameroonian.

   #3. Pascal Siakam (206-F-94, college: N.Mexico St., currently plays in NBA) was not able to help the Toronto Raptors (21-7) in their last game. Despite his very good performance the Toronto Raptors (21-7) lost 99-104 in Milwaukee to the Bucks. Siakam scored 17 points, had 7 rebounds and made 3 blocks in 25 minutes; quite an impressive performance considering it's only his third season in pro basketball. But the season is still in it's first stage and everything can happen. Siakam has very impressive stats this year: 14.6ppg, 6.5rpg and 2.7apg in 28 games.

   #4. JP Tokoto (198-F-93, college: N.Carolina, currently plays in Israel) was the major contributor in a Hapoel Eilat's victory against the closely-ranked Maccabi Ashdod (3-5) 85-68 in the Israeli Winner League on Monday night. He scored 16 points. Hapoel Eilat (6-3) is placed fifth in the Winner League. It was his team's fifth consecutive victory in a row. This season Tokoto has relatively solid stats: 12.1ppg, 6.6rpg, 2.9apg and 1.9spg. He is another player who holds two passports: Cameroonian and American.

   #5. Paul Biligha (200-C/F-90, agency: Players Group, currently plays in Italy) was not able to secure a victory for Umana Venezia (7-2) in their game against Openjobmetis VA (6-3) in the Italian Serie A. Biligha cannot count Sunday's game as one of the best ones. He scored only 2 points. Umana Venezia was defeated 66-61 in Varese by the lower-ranked Openjobmetis VA (#4). It was Umana Venezia's third consecutive loss in a row. Biligha's total stats this season are: 5.6ppg and 2.2rpg. He has both Cameroonian and Italian nationalities.

   #6. Ralph Temgoua (194-G-87, college: St.Lawrence, currently plays in France) contributed to an easy victory against the 13th-ranked GET Vosges crushing them 92-71 in the French NM1 (third division) last Friday. Temgoua recorded 7 points. Temgoua has averaged so far 8.8ppg, 2.8rpg and 2.3apg. He also holds two passports: Cameroonian and French.

   #7. Maxime Djo Ebala (208-C-94, currently plays in France) contributed to an easy victory against the 11th-ranked Aubenas crushing them 99-74 in the French NM1 (third division) on Tuesday night. Djo Ebala recorded 13 points and grabbed 4 rebounds in 22 minutes. Djo Ebala has averaged so far 3.9ppg and 2.5rpg in eight games. He has Cameroonian and French nationalities.

   #8. Experienced Tcheussi Aristide Mouaha (190-G-0, currently plays in Italy) couldn't help Roma S.Azzurra (7-3) in their last game on Saturday. Despite Mouaha's very good performance the sixth-placed Roma S.Azzurra was defeated 75-66 at home by the higher-ranked Olimpia Matera (#3) in the Group D. He was the top scorer with 19 points. Mouaha also added 7 rebounds and dished 4 assists. This season Mouaha has very high stats. He averages: 18.7ppg, 5.6rpg, 2.7apg and 2.1spg.

   #9. Adoum Mbang (201-F, currently plays in NCAA2) contributed to a 1-point Chadron State College's victory against the Colorado Christian University 80-79 in the NCAA2 last Friday. Mbang scored 10 points and grabbed 4 rebounds in 17 minutes. Mbang has averaged so far 6.9ppg and 2.9rpg in eight games.

   #10. Jonathan Tchatchoua (203-F, currently plays college basketball in the States) couldn't help the UNLV in their game against the University of Illinois in the NCAA. He scored 6 points. His team were edged 77-74. Tchatchoua has averaged so far 3.1ppg and 2.1rpg. He has Australian and Cameroonian nationalities.

Condor Basketball Club crowned Champions - 6 days ago
Condor Basketball Club crowned Champions finishing with a 4-2 record in the Final Four Stage. In the second round they first beat FAP 79:74 as the latter finished second with the same record. In Day 2 Conor overcame UDLA 104:81 and then did not mind a 70-80 loss from Ecole de Basket. Both UDLA and Ecole de Basket ended up with 2-4 records.   [read more]
