Spartans were crowned double champions - Jan 2, 2013

Spartans were crowned double champions after winning both the men's stream of the Botswana Basketball League and the National Championships.
Police V did likewise in the women's stream.
However, the code was blighted by lack of sponsorships as both competitions did not carry prize-monies.
Botswana teams made their debut at the continental championships when Troopers and BDF V played at the Club Championships held in Mozambique.
But the two teams received thrashings from their counterparts.
