Tigers forced 27 Marlins turnovers. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Tigers made 8 blocks. 24 personal fouls committed by Marlins helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The former international Pieter Prinsloo (208-1992, college: Marist) fired a double-double by scoring 25 points, 10 rebounds and 5 blocks for the winners. American forward Sita Conteh (203-1998, college: Coppin St.) chipped in 27 points and 9 rebounds. Four Tigers players scored in double figures. Jacques Mahanga (-2001) produced 16 points and guard Benjamin Myburgh (185-1997) added 13 points and 5 rebounds respectively for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games.
