Regular Season Round 8: WC Mountaineers - NC Zebras 91-62

Third ranked WC Mountaineers blasted bottom-ranked NC Zebras (0-2) in Cape 91-62. NC Zebras is still unable to win any game. WC Mountaineers dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to NC Zebras' 36. WC Mountaineers forced 52 NC Zebras turnovers and had a 32-18 advantage in offensive rebounds. NC Zebras were plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. The winners were led by Corinne Moussi who had that evening a triple-double by scoring 29 points and 11 rebounds and Talita Memani supported her with 10 points and 7 rebounds. Even 27 points and 6 rebounds by Mamotsoari Mofokeng did not help to save the game for NC Zebras. Lindani Manda added 9 points and 16 rebounds for the guests. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Defending champion (3-1) keeps a position of league leader, which they share with Soweto P. NC Zebras at the other side still closes the standings with two games lost. They share the position with EC Windbreakers. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
