The game with biggest result difference took place in Kigali. Local REG beat Senegalese Douanes 69-55. REG held Douanes to an opponent 23.7 percent shooting from the field compared to 39.4 percent accuracy of the winners. Guard Jean Nshobozwa (193-1998) orchestrated the victory by scoring 14 points and 9 rebounds. American guard Cleveland Thomas (192-1993, college: WKU, agency: Slash Sports) contributed with 12 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists for the winners. American Marcus Crawford replied with 15 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists and point guard Jean-Jacques Boissy (183-2000) added 14 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Douanes. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. REG will play against Stade in the next round.
