Regular Season Round 7: FS Warriors - S.Panthers 46-100

There was no surprise in Bloemfontein where bottom-ranked Warriors (0-4) were crushed by third ranked Panthers (2-2) 100-46 on Friday. Panthers dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Warriors' 32. They outrebounded Warriors 41-22 including 18 on the offensive glass. Panthers shot the lights out from three sinking 12 long-distance shots on high 57.1 percentage. It was a great evening for swingman Sicelo Dzingwa (195-1999) who led his team to a victory scoring 18 points. Guard Mbulelo Ntshingana (185-1985) helped adding 12 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Five Panthers players scored in double figures. At the losing side Prince Dube responded with 15 points and 8 rebounds and center Khotso Mahloane (199-1992) scored 9 points and 7 rebounds. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Panthers maintains third place with 2-2 record having just two points less than leader WC Mountaineers. Warriors lost their fourth game in a row. They still close the standings with four games lost.
