City Oilers outgunned Blazers for the opening victory in the Finals. City Oilers dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Blazers' 32. City Oilers forced 26 Blazers turnovers and outrebounded them 56-38 including 17 on the offensive glass. The former international Drileba Tonny fired a double-double by scoring 13 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. Okello James chipped in 9 points and 12 rebounds. City Oilers' coach used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Guard Christopher Omanye (183-1994) produced 14 points and 9 rebounds and DR Congolese center Amisi Saidi (200-1987) added 12 points and 7 rebounds respectively for lost side.
