The most exciting game was a derby match between two local teams from Kampala: KIU Rangers (#3) and KCCA Leopards (#4). KIU Rangers (14-4) won against visiting KCCA Leopards (13-5) 68-61. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of KCCA Leopards. KIU Rangers forced 29 KCCA Leopards turnovers. Guard Ninette Uwineza orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 15 points, 14 rebounds, 9 assists and 5 steals. Guard Ines Kanyamunza contributed with 17 points for the winners. Ruth Letaru (-1997) answered with 15 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists and the former international center Martha Soigi (185-1986) added 18 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for KCCA Leopards. KIU Rangers have a solid series of four victories in a row. They moved-up to second place, which they share with UCU Ladies. KCCA Leopards at the other side keep the fourth position with five games lost.
