Regular Season Round 15: Angels - KIU Rangers 46-56

Another exciting game was again a derby between two teams from Kampala: KIU Rangers (#4) and Angels (#5). Angels were defeated at home 46-56 and even the fact of playing on their own court did not help. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Angels. KIU Rangers forced 33 Angels turnovers. It was a good game for forward Sharon Kirabo (170-1996) who led her team to a victory with 15 points, 7 rebounds, 4 assists and 5 steals. Guard Perus Nyamwenge contributed with 12 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Guard Eden Tekitendwa (-2000) answered with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 12 rebounds and guard Stella Lunkuse (-1998) added 9 points and 12 rebounds in the effort for Angels. Angels' coach rotated twelve players in this game, but that didn't help. KIU Rangers maintains fourth place with 12-4 record. Angels at the other side keep the fifth position with eight games lost. KIU Rangers will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Angels' supporters look forward to another derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Kampala to the arena Miracle.
