Regular Season Round 7: JKL Dolphins - Miracle 95-59

The game had a very big importance for second-ranked JKL Dolphins as it allowed them to take a leadership position. JKL Dolphins smashed 7th ranked Miracle in Kampala 95-59. JKL Dolphins forced 27 Miracle turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 29 assists comparing to just 15 passes made by Miracle's players. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international power forward Hope Akello (183-1997) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 17 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists and the former international guard Ritah Imanishimwe (173-1996) who added 13 points, 12 rebounds, 5 assists and 7 steals during the contest. Five JKL Dolphins players scored in double figures. Forward Barbara Namukaaya responded with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 15 rebounds and guard Akello Winnifred (-2001) scored 12 points and 8 rebounds. Miracle's coach gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. JKL Dolphins (7-0) have an impressive seven-game winning streak. As mentioned above they are alone now at the top position. Newly promoted Miracle keeps the seventh place with six games lost. Miracle will play next round against A1 Challenge trying to get back on the winning streak. It will be a derby game for which supporters look forward to, where their team will face at home their local rival from Kampala - A1 Challenge. JKL Dolphins will try to continue on its current victory against second ranked KIU Rangers. It will be extra interesting game as KIU Rangers is their local rival from Kampala.
