Regular Season Round 7: Fukash - Zamalek 92-101
Date: April 16, 2022
There was no surprise when bottom-ranked DR Congolese Fukash (0-3) was defeated at home by leader Egyptian Zamalek (4-0) 101-92 on Saturday. Zamalek looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. It was a great evening for American-Filipino guard Mikh McKinney (184-1992, college: Sacramento St.) who led his team to a victory scoring 28 points and 7 assists (made all of his eight free throws). Guard Eslam Mohamed (190-1989) helped adding 20 points and 4 assists. At the losing side Rolly Nganga (201-1993) responded with 28 points and 5 rebounds and forward Emmanuel Okorafor (206-2004) produced a double-double by scoring 13 points and 11 rebounds. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Zamalek have a solid series of four victories in a row. Defending Egyptian champion maintains first place with 4-0 record. Loser Fukash still closes the standings with three games lost. Zamalek will meet at home FAP (#4) in the next round. Fukash will play against Tigers and hopes to get finally their first victory.
