Regular Season Round 4: Nabisunsa - Miracle 43-61

The most interesting game was a derby match between two local teams from Kampala: Miracle (#8) and Nabisunsa (#7). Nabisunsa was smashed at home by 18 points 43-61 and even the fact of playing on their own court did not help. Miracle forced 33 Nabisunsa turnovers and outrebounded them 65-37 including a 28-5 advantage in offensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Barbara Namukaaya who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 10 points and 26 rebounds. Guard Akello Winnifred (-2001) contributed with 6 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. Guard Sarah Namale (-2005) replied with a double-double by scoring 10 points, 10 rebounds and 4 blocks and Darlene Tashobya (-2005) added 7 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Nabisunsa. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Miracle (1-4) left bottom position moving up to seventh place, which they share with defeated Nabisunsa. It was Nabisunsa's fourth loss in a row. Miracle will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Nabisunsa's supporters look forward to another derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Kampala Angels.
