Regular Season Round 8: NW Eagles - KZ Marlins 65-64

Undefeated Marlins (3-1) recorded its first loss in Potchefstroom. Visitors were edged by fourth ranked Eagles (2-2) 65-64. Eagles forced 19 Marlins turnovers. The winners were led by Davison Chivero who had that evening a double-double by scoring 23 points and 17 rebounds and guard Thapelo Mkhatshwa supported him with 13 points and 10 rebounds. Even 23 points by the former international Bandile Nsele (187-91) did not help to save the game for Marlins. Point guard Sibusiso Cele (175) added 7 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists for the guests. Marlins' coach tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Eagles moved-up to third place, which they share with WC Mountaineers. Marlins at the other side still keep top position with one game lost. They share it with 3 other teams.
