Regular Season Round 6: FS Warriors - WC Mountaineers 48-76

Date: October 24, 2021
There was no surprise in Bloemfontein where bottom-ranked Warriors (0-2) were crushed by third ranked Mountaineers (2-2) 76-48 on Sunday. Mountaineers forced 23 Warriors turnovers. The former international center Stephen Gabriel (205-91) had a double-double by scoring 19 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the charge for the winners and the former international guard Kyle Maclean (188-94, college: UCSB) chipped in 18 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. The best for the losing side was Job Mashwabathi (195) with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 15 rebounds and swingman Elias Galane scored 8 points and 7 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Mountaineers maintains third position with 2-2 record behind leader KZ Marlins. Loser Warriors still closes the standings with two games lost. They share the position with EC Windbreakers.
