Round in BNL means a new league leader. The biggest surprise took place in Tshwane where host Suns (3-0) beat league's leader Magic (2-1) 45-40 on Sunday evening. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Magic. It was a key game for the top position in the league. Suns held Magic to an opponent 21.9 percent shooting from the field compared to 29.2 percent accuracy of the winners. Suns forced 19 Magic turnovers. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Suns made 7 blocks. The best player for the winners was DR Congolese power forward Emmanuel Shine (199-94) who had a double-double by scoring 21 points and 12 rebounds (on 10-of-12 shooting from the field). The former international Kagiso Ngoetjana (198-89) chipped in a double-double by scoring 10 points and 13 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was swingman Nkosinathi Sibanyoni who recorded 6 points and 22 rebounds and Tony Chukwurah added 10 points and 8 rebounds respectively. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Suns have a solid three-game winning streak. They keep a position of league leader.
