Giants tab rookie Jakobi Heady in his first year in pro basketball

Jakobi Heady

The Johannesburg Giants (NBL) signed American 198cm swingman Jakobi Heady, who recently graduated from Bethune-Cookman University (NCAA). He posted impressive stats of 17.9ppg, 5.0rpg, 1.8apg, and 1.6spg in 27 games last season, contributing to their regular season victory.
Heady began his college career at Wabash Valley College (JUCO) before transferring to Bethune-Cookman University (NCAA). He spent his high school career at Hillcrest High School in Country Club Hills, IL.
As mentioned above, he is just out of college and it is his first full season in pro basketball. Heady played for other colleges such as Central Michigan University and Wabash Valley College.
