Ferroviario da Beira edged Matero Magic 89–87 in a thrilling 2026 Road to BAL showdown, surviving a late push to secure a hard-fought victory. Beira started strongly with a 22–17 first quarter and extended their lead to 53–45 at halftime after a sharp offensive display in the second period.
Matero Magic responded with an impressive third quarter, outscoring Beira 28–13 to flip the game and enter the final period ahead 73–66. But Beira regrouped and delivered a clutch fourth quarter, putting up 23 points while holding Matero to 14. In the final minutes, key defensive stops and composed scoring allowed Ferroviario da Beira to reclaim the lead and seal the narrow 89–87 win.
Ismael Nurmamade (185-SG-1991) top-scored for the winners with 22 points and Ke'Tarrious Bouchum (196-F-1998, college: Butler CC, KS) netted 14.
