Yayo number one in Basketball Africa League for round 2 (by Hoops Agents)

Mike Yayo (2003) put on an amazing game in the last round for top-ranked JCA Abidjan, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 2 (Second Stage).
The 22-year old player had a double-double of 18 points and 12 rebounds, while his team beat CRB (#2, 3-2) 85-71. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. It allowed JCA to consolidate first place in the Basketball Africa League. The season is still on an early stage, but JCA already had a very good start winning all 5 without losing a single one. In the team's last game Yayo had a remarkable 66.7% from 2-point range. It was one of impressive evenings for him as usually he does not deliver so high stats.

The second best player in last round's games was young Desire Mouzita (2003) of Moanda BB. Mouzita had a very good evening with 20 points, 8 rebounds and 3 assists. Bad luck as Moanda BB was edged by Spintex (3-1) 71-69. The Second Stage is still at the very beginning and this lost game may not be such crucial, of course if they start win the games. Let's wait for the next round. Mouzita is well-known at Moanda BB and is a proven leader in his second season with the team.

Third on the list of top players last round was center Viny Okouo (214-C-1997) of ASB New Generation (#3). Okouo scored 15 points and grabbed 12 rebounds (!!!). He was a key player of ASB NG, leading his team to a 85-81 win against #4 ranked Kriol S. in a game of the week. ASB NG needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 2 victories and 2 lost games. The season just started for Okouo as he played only first game. But it already looks like he can be team's leader.
