Jovan Mooring (ex MBB) signs at Blazers

Jovan Mooring

Namuwongo Blazers (NBL) landed 30-year old American 188cm guard Jovan Mooring (college: UNLV). He played this summer at MBB Blue Soldiers in South African D2 league. In 6 Basketball Africa League games he just recently played he averaged impressive 17.8ppg, 4.0rpg, 4.2apg and 1.3spg.
In 2018 he was drafted by Grand Rapids Drive (G-League) in first round (13th overall).
The former University of Nevada - Las Vegas standout is in his ninth season in pro basketball.
He is a very experienced player. Mooring has played also professionally in Georgia (Kutaisi), NBA G League (Santa Cruz Warriors, Noblesville Boom and Grand Rapids Gold), North Macedonia (KK TFT Skopje) and The Basketball Tournament (Team Gibson).
Among many awards he received NJCAA D2 Player of the Year award and NJCAA D2 All-Tournament Team back in 2016.
He attended previously one of camps at Eurobasket Summer League on he way to pro basketball. Mooring played for other colleges like: South Suburban College, Lamar State College.
