Defending champion Dar City Basketball Team (NBL) added experienced 34-year-old Senegalese international center Youssou Ndoye (213cm-113kg-1991, college: St.Bonaventure) to their roster. He played last season at APR Basketball Club Kigali in the Rwandan RBL league. In 8 games recently, he had 11.4ppg, 8.1rpg, and 1.5bpg, helping them win the league title. Ndoye was voted Afrobasket.com All-Rwandan League Finals MVP. He also played 10 games in the Basketball Africa League, recording 12.7ppg, 7.9rpg, and 1.4apg, contributing to his team reaching the semifinals. Ndoye was named to the Afrobasket.com All-Basketball Africa League Second Team.
Ndoye also represented Senegal at the FIBA World Cup 2023 African Qualifiers two years ago. His team won Bronze and he averaged nearly 10 ppg.
He is a quite experienced player. His career allowed him to visit three different continents, while he played in eight different countries. Ndoye tasted the life as a pro basketball player in Europe, Asia and of course North America. He has played professionally in France (JL Bourg, JSF Nanterre and Entente Orleans 45), Korea (Daegu), Spain (Coviran Granada and Real Betis), Taiwan (Taipei Taishin Mars), NBA (San Antonio Spurs), NBA G League (Austin Spurs), NBA Summer League (Dallas Mavericks) and The Basketball Tournament (Brown & White).
Ndoye graduated from St. Bonaventure University in 2015 and it will be his 11th season as a professional player.
